Memory upgrades have nothing to do with server storage it just increases the amount of available RAM not disk space. If a user needs to upgrade they can always do so.

Similar to your other thread, you should probably be posting questions like this on review sites and general webhosting forums.

Does anyone know of any good Hosting service that can host multiple domain?
Brian replied to lokpio's topic in Shared Hosting
Thanks for the support guys @OP: These are the kinds of questions you're best to post on a review site like http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ and not directly on a forum for a company that provides the exact services you're looking for. -
It's possible - I'd suggest checking out http://www.hawkhost.com/network where we have speedtests and more information posted about the location. Location moves are free however there is a limit to the amount of moves you can do. That's the plan -- we expect to be online sometime in Q4 of this year there. This is a fuzzy area of sorts. While it's not explicitly against our TOS/AUP it is on the line and if we do receive a DMCA or abuse complaint that is valid we'd be forced to take the site down.

All the files for each site (addon domains and primary domain) are completely separate, so if you install software of plugins on an addon domain it won't install it on any other domains. If you have any more specific questions I'd suggest contacting our support department and providing your primary domain so we can help out with your specific setup

Awesome review Louis, and thank you for taking the time to write it. More importantly though your avatar is probably the best part of this post

If you're working via SSH directly on the server issue the following command to extract the tar: tar -xvf homedir.tar This will extract the contents of homedir.tar into a directory named homedir in your present working directory. To extract the files into a specified directory outside of your present working directory, issue this command: tar -xvf homedir.tar -C /path/to/dir/here Alternatively just contact our support department and we can do this for you

avenger.hawkhost.com would work fine, or you can use the IP listed under the 'Shared IP Address' field on the left side of cPanel once you login.
-
The issues from earlier are at this point fully resolved so we're considering this issue closed.
-
We are currently back online however this topic will remain open until we have a confirmation from our upstream the issue is fully resolved. Your sites and services should be working as normal.
-
At approximately 2:12 PM EDT our upstream provider began experiencing connectivity issues over the public network in the San Jose facility. As a result this server (Wildcat) is inaccessible. We are working with the provider now to resolve the issue, any updates and information we have will be posted in this forum.

I've spent the last 10 minutes browsing your forum with no noticeable slowness. I've also checked your accounts resource usage and do not see any processes consuming enough resources that would cause a noticeable slowdown. The servers load is fine and the monitoring for the server hasn't shown any events recently which would cause performance issues.

Just picked up your ticket I believe. Glad to read this (albeit a bit late) and see you've found the source + a fix. Update your ticket if we can help out anymore and good luck with the migration!

Right now there's no immediate plans to roll out any payment plans longer than our current 1 year maximum.

Did you have any questions about our services? It sounds like you're asking for advice about other hosting companies, which is not what our forums are for. There are no shortage of host review sites and forums out there (you should start at http://www.webhostingtalk.com), you could even try going to the forums of the companies you listed. If you've got some specific questions about Hawk Host or anything we provide, we'd be happy to help you out

Right now we're not going to be able to do that. When we made the initial round of banners we tried to be as diverse with size as possible, but at the same time creating them in the most commonly used dimensions. When and if we do a second round I can make sure we do one of this size but for now what we've got is what you'll need to use. We of course don't mind if you modify them though to fit a size you need, that'd be okay
