  1. We run Litespeed which automatically does compression so it'd be the same as using mod_gzip of mod_deflate
  2. That's correct -- our shared servers do not support ffmpeg.
  3. Generally if the name on the credit card or Paypal account does not match the name used when signing up the order will be marked as fraud. If you email [email protected] and provide us the order number / domain name you used when signing up we can give you the exact reason it was voided and work with you to get the account setup
  4. I always push people to start with our basic plan if they're not sure, as it's cheapest and will let you get started without a huge startup cost. Since we let you upgrade on the fly at any point without downtime, if you find you need more resources you just pay the difference between the plan you're on and the plan you're moving to.
  5. Kyle, All of your MySQL databases must be created using the MySQL Databases interface within cPanel. The functionality to actually create a database through phpMyAdmin is disabled.
  6. I just checked our helpdesk and I do believe this was resolved already via ticket. In the future I'd suggest contacting our helpdesk directly for support issues since it's the quickest way to get a hold of our support team. Thanks again for choosing Hawk Host, we really appreciate it!
  7. Our servers should fully support anything you're looking to do. If you happen to encounter a specific issue you can contact our support team, describe the issue, and we'll be happy to take a look
  8. The account should have been setup by now and a new account information email should have been sent. If you haven't received it please email [email protected] and provide your invoice number and/or the domain name you used when signing up and we'll take a look. Thanks for choosing us
  9. You can choose to install each domain on it's own cPanel account, or as addon domains within a single cPanel account You could do this Absolutely! One thing to keep in mind is our reseller plans have a limit on how many cPanel accounts you can create. Check out the restrictions for each plan here: http://www.hawkhost.com/Reseller/compare
  10. Glad you're enjoying the performance!
  11. Once an account is setup, cancellation is very simple, you just have to follow these steps: https://support.hawkhost.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=49 A user cannot cancel an order which is not setup. I apologize you find this frustrating but this is simply a restriction put in place by our order system and not something we can modify. A quick email to [email protected] should clear up any confusion and our staff can cancel the incorrect order for you.
  12. We provide anonymous nameservers and we also allow you to create and use your own private nameservers so from that perspective, they would not know you're a reseller. As for providing end user support that is something we do not provide so you would be responsible for that.
  13. As you noted, Softaculous has a whole host of available mailing list software: http://www.softaculous.com/softwares/mail phpList is fairly popular, may be a good place to start
  14. I do believe this was resolved via ticket but if you're still having issues please follow up in a ticket, post the ticket ID in this forum, and we'll continue to investigate.
  15. Turns out this is a reported bug with Kayako. If you attempt to upload a file larger than a certain size it gives this "error" (if you can call it that). The hope is that this will be fixed when they released version 4 of their software soon but we're not 100% sure. Thank you for bringing this up though, we appreciate it!
  16. We do also post on our blog frequently at http://blog.hawkhost.com/ if you're not already checking there for the latest events. Also, for updates on your server status you should subscribe to the appropriate forum at http://forums.hawkho...rum/28-servers/ in case any maintenance windows are posted. Or maybe you've already done all of this and I'm wasting keystrokes, but either way thanks for staying interested in what we're doing
  17. We've brought this issue up to our sysadmins and they're investigating. Thank you for showing this to us!

    Movable Type

I'm sure you'll be fine then, and like Tony said if it doesn't become an issue we'll contact you. Until that time though, enjoy and hopefully your testing goes well!
  19. We do not sell SSL certificates so you'd need to purchase that through another company (Google search should show a large amount of options). A dedicated IP is $2/mo and is billed on the same term as your hosting plan.
  20. Correct, we would only need the login details to your existing hosts cPanel or you would need to upload a backup to your account with us and let us know the path to it for us to restore.
  21. You can change it into your name now, but if you are using the same credit card for your recurring invoices the address on the profile will need to match the one on the card when you go to pay the invoice, otherwise it'll be declined.
  22. We're able to diagnose and troubleshoot common errors as we see them for specific software, but it's difficult for us to make server wide changes to accommodate to a single software suite. If you're seeing a problem let our support team know and we should be able to resolve it
  23. Great to hear this and you're making use of R1Soft. It really is a great utility for those "ruh roh" moments
  24. Andy, At this time we do not offer a free credit for Google Adwords.
