  1. We don't charge overages as typically it causes more trouble than it's worth. We typically recommend users upgrade to the next tier package to get a higher quota (cheaper than buying bandwidth alone usually). If you're looking for a temporary bandwidth increase submit a ticket to our sales department.

    Hopefully in the near future
  3. Wonderful! I always get a little excited when I see things such as R1Soft backups working for people - we use it internally for our non-shared machines and it's been an invaluable tool. I hope you enjoy another year of service with us!
  4. Simply submit a ticket and we'll migrate you to another data center for free. Keep in mind however that there might be a few minutes of downtime for some of your users since the IP will likely have to change and it may take some users ISP's a little to catch the change.
  5. Most people will compile GIT or just use ssh as a repository for Mercurial / GIT since they're distributed / support simple pulling and pushing.
  6. Correct, resellers actually create individual accounts for each domain (account within WHM) added while a normal shared account will just add them under the same account.
  7. Full information regarding our affiliate program can be found here: http://www.hawkhost.com/Affiliate/ What is the current affiliate commission and settings? 8. A bit belated but I missed this thread. Maybe you should provide us with an in-depth review of how everything is been over the years.. it would be very interesting for us and others. Were you around when we were called "Devoted Host" still?
  9. Good luck keeping this thread updated every week . In all seriousness I'm glad you're happy so far - if you have any input don't hesitate to contact us. Cheers!
  10. Hopefully you'll continue to be happy with us for time to come - please follow this early review up after you've been with us for a few months to see how we hold up. Cheers!
  11. So somewhere we'd have a block on our website with a "Featured Website" that we host or potentially a sticky? Maybe but what would be the benefit?
  12. The results don't look horrid however you should have no loss. If possible submit a ticket and provide us with the IP you're connecting to the site from so we can check the routes. The script your running is likely intended for a single dedicated machine that's not used in a shared environment / the specs we run. The load of 7-8 is fine for our machines as the lowest ends have 8 cores (so an 8 load would be acceptable) while the newer machines have 16 cores. It's a good thing to look into how linux load averages work as at face value they're sort of cryptic and could be misinterpreted.
  13. One of the best places to look for documentation on cPanel / WHM is the cPanel documentation itself: http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/CpanelDocs/WebHome . They did a wonderful job documenting every facet of their control panel with succinct and accurate documentation. Typically once you setup your WHM you'll first add a package and then simply add a account via the WHM control panel (ip:2087)
  14. Good to hear - we do our best. Keep in mind the majority of hacks are from outdated software such as WordPress or Joomla, simply keeping scripts such as these up-to-date automatically dissolve a lot of threats.
  15. Just for future reference we've deployed a fix that caused this to be overlooked so it should be a non-issue in the future . Thanks for keeping us on our toes!
  16. If you would like to be featured on our front page testimonials (bottom right) please contact us via the ticket system with your testimonial and the information you want to publish (name, website) and we'll add it. Alternatively if you post a testimonial here let us know if you would like it used on our website as well. Thanks!
  17. At this time the "r25percent" coupon has expired (as of 06/02/2010). Keep an eye out on our specials page for a new one
  18. Yes we do intend on doing it soon however since we're in a shared environment we have to do upgrades a bit slower to make sure there aren't any bugs / computability issues which could break users scripts. PHP is slated to be upgrades soon
  19. Actually it appears you're spread over several servers and regions which leads me to believe it may be an issue on your end. Nevertheless submit a ticket if you're still experiencing issues
  20. There doesn't seem to be any abnormal peaks in resource utilization on your server, if you're experiencing issues don't hesitate to submit a ticket. There are plenty of instances where end-users will notice something awry before our monitoring will notice.
  21. You can do anything you like within .htaccess however the things mentioned in your link is essentially our job. You'll have to take it in faith that we maintain our systems and do our best to secure the environment. Unfortunately in a shared / service based environment you have to relinquish some control.
  22. Invoices are generated automatically however you can have us change your billing cycle at any time.
  23. Very strange indeed, I'm not seeing any of this behavior. By any chance did you try it in another browser to see if the issue was potentially local?
  24. Thanks for the kind words . It's always nice to hear when someone is happy with our service. Don't hesitate to submit a testimonial if you like and we'll add it to our website .
  25. There was routing issues to Dallas for some people so depending on where your sites are at that could be attributed to the random issues. We don't actively cap downloads the only cap would be your bandwidth quota.
