  1. Titan was down for about 6 minutes during this migration - we're confirming that this is the end of the maintenance but as of now we believe there will be no more outages.
  2. At this time users cannot modify DNS records so you'll have to submit a ticket to support. We intend on offering this feature sometime in the near future
  3. 1) SSH Can be enabled on any account - you just have to submit a ticket asking 2) We don't have a specific time line though it should be relatively soon. The reason we're delaying the upgrade is still a large amount of people use deprecated features so forcing an upgrade right away would cause a headache for numerous customers. 3) Yes remote MySQL access is supported Please note that sales inquiries like this are responded to quicker through our ticketing area located at https://support.hawkhost.com/[url=https://www.hawkhost.com/clients]
  4. Yes, assuming everything else checks out (ip, location, name matches, etc)
  5. We've discussed this before and had a similar thread not long ago: http://forums.hawkhost.com/showthread.php?t=257
  6. Just to elaborate on why this works (in case anyone finds this useful in the future) the -v means verbose output - meaning the script will be verbose and ouput text. As a result the cron will e-mail the output
  7. You can mute it! I beat the first level finally at the tune of 4mil~ points. Time to play the next tier. One thing I enjoyed about this TD was since the graphics are all vector it doesn't get too laggy during intense moments. It also throws a little kink due to the little booster towers that can increase certain attributes (interest, damage, etc).
  8. Services online - we'll be monitoring the machine for the day to make sure there is no further issues.
  9. We're working with datacenter technicians to mitigate the attack further - Cisco Guard has been enabled / we're rebooting the machine. Once the machine is up we'll be taking further actions to help mitigate the DDoS. Thanks for everyones patience!
  10. Due to the size of the attack we've decided to have the data center enable Cisco Guard accordingly to help filter the attacks. We're currently waiting for them to enable this before we can further mitigate the attack.
  11. The Venus server is under a DDoS attack casusing server issues. We're currently working on getting this filtered and services restored.
  12. Venus became unresponsive early this morning. We've been able to get it back online though are still investigating what initially casued the issue. Once we further investigate the issue we'll provide further information. Date: 10/17/2009
  13. There are two isolated issues currently, though one isn't due to our provider. A core TWC router is having issues dropping packets throughout the network - if you're experiencing slow or abnormal speeds and use TWC the issue is unrelated to this one. Our upstream provider has acknowledged there is an issue in Seattle, though haven't yet diagnosed the issue yet. They've dispatched network engineers to help further diagnose the issue. Once again this is only affecting some people and not everyone. We've had reports from numerous regions including the people on the west coast of the US / UK. EDIT It seems I may have been mistaken regarding TWC being an isolated issue. It may be that the issue is indeed with a core TWC router. I'm awaiting confirmation from the network engineers. We'll post a conclusive answer shortly. EDIT We've confirmed the TWC is indeed an isolated issue.
  14. Our upstream provider is currently experiencing routing issues. They're aware of the issue and are currently investigating the cause. We'll keep you updated via this thread as we get more information. This currently isn't affecting everyone only some ISP's. Date: Friday, October 16th, 2009 (10/16/2009) Service Affected: Seattle Network
  15. I use Redmine daily for numerous projects I manage / am part of. The documentation they provide is somewhat decent, though they don't go over how to set it up in an environment similar to ours. Unfortunately I haven't tried setting it up on a cPanel based host such as ourselves so I can't really point you in the right direction. If I can find some time I'll see if I can get it running / make a quick how-to for you (don't count on this we're swamped)! If you're able to get it installed / working properly please post how you did it here as other people will undoubtedly find it useful http://www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/HowTos
  16. You might want to check out RVSiteBuilder within cPanel - it offers hundreds of templates that you can customize quite easily - it might suit your needs nicely
  17. If the person who handled the ticket said the address didn't match it's because our credit card merchant provides very little details and one of the few things they provide is if the address / CVV don't match (and it gets declined). If you like feel free to submit another ticket and we can take another peak. Our ticket system auto-closes tickets after 48 hours after our reply to keep the system clean - beyond that we don't really close tickets unless they've conclusively been answered. If you could PM me the ticket ID(s) in question I'd be more than happy to take a look for you
  18. You could submit a ticket and get SSH enabled / upload it / run it yourself though without any issue
  19. We currently don't offer SSL certificates, though you can get one from almost any large registrar. Verisign certificates are usually more expensive - you can get them cheaper from places such as GoDaddy. Once you purchase one for your domain you can install it via cPanel (submit a ticket if you need help). And yes, you can make a self signed certificate, though it's frowned upon and usually isn't ideal for any sort of eCommerce - I would highly recommend just purchasing one.
  20. Alright sounds good
  21. Unfortunately I can't give you a definitive answer on this quite yet as we haven't looked into it - though if you could provide more information about what is involved with the synchronization we can look into it and get back to you. Does it simply sync with the mail server so that e-mails read on the blackberry are read in the e-mail, and vice versa?
  22. The Skyline server had a kernel panic early this morning for unknown reasons - we're assuming it's related to the kernel upgrades from last night. We will be investigating this and posting more information as it comes. All services are currently online. Date: 08/26/2009 Start time (CDT): 8:35am End time (CDT): 8:45am Estimated Down Time: 10 minutes
  23. Also if the application your using doesn't offer a way to force SSL you should be able to do it by using a mod_rewrite rule to check if the client is connecting over SSL - if they're not you force them to https://
  24. The machine is online and fully functional.
  25. We're currently experiencing some filesystem inconsistencies from yesterdays RAID issue. As a result we have to take down the machine and repair the filesystem. Date: 08/19/2009 Start time (EST): 4:47pm End time (EST): 6:07pm Estimated Downtime: 1:14
