  1. Jupiter is about finished booting up, we're starting on Mustang.
  2. Voodoo kernel has been updated. Starting on Jupiter.
  3. Starting this on Voodoo now.
  4. We will be updating all of our servers kernels to the latest version on Tuesday September 21st to to address a recent vulnerability found in some 64bit distributions which affect us. You may recall we run ksplice on all of our servers and they did attend to this issue prior to an official release from the vendor (Red Hat) however due to the nature of the vulnerability we've decided to perform an actual kernel upgrade to ensure this won't affect us in the future. The maintenance window is for the next 12 hours during which each machine will be updated and experience about 10 minutes of downtime. Date: 09/21/2010 Start time (EDT): 1:00pm End time (EDT): 1:00am Duration: 12 hours Estimated Down Time: 10 minutes
  5. If you're in need of more bandwidth simply submit a ticket to sales and we can work out custom bandwidth pricing for you .
  6. This has been completed. Estimated downtime was about 5 minutes.
  7. We'll be performing an emergency kernel upgrade which addresses a severe vulnerability affecting a large number of 64bit Linux installations. Date: 09/19/2010 Start time (PDT): 2:00pm End time (PDT): 3:00pm Duration: 1 hour Estimated Down Time: 10 minutes
  8. SSH has been enabled once again. Thanks for your patience - hopefully you'll understand this was merely an extra precaution to ensure the integrity of our servers and YOUR accounts .
  9. We've temporarily disabled SSH across all machines as a precaution due to a recent exploit / 0-Day (released before being patched) in the wild. We'll update this thread once SSH has been enabled. This does not affect our VPS servers.
  10. This maintenance window is closed with.
  11. The battery has been replaced and the machine is online booting all of the services. Please allow a few minutes for the machine to return to optimal speed. We'll update this ticket once everything is running per usual.
  12. This maintenance window has begun.
  13. Yes, sorry we didn't notice this post. For future reference our forums aren't an official support channel so submit a ticket if you want a quick reply
  14. The machine is online and stabilizing. We believe what caused the crash was something exhausted the CPU/Memory of the server causing it to come to an abrupt halt before we could attend to it. We'll be monitoring the server for the next 24 hours to ensure no further issues.
  15. The machine is online and booting services. Please allow a few minutes for it to return to optimal speed. We're still investigating as to what caused the crash.
  16. At approximately 9:00PM EST the Phantom machine crashed. At this time we're unsure as to what caused the issue. We'll be updating this thread as we get more information.
  17. Please PM me your ticket ID.
  18. Everything is settling down and online. We'll be monitoring this server closely for the next 24 hours to ensure no further issues. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
  19. The machine and is starting all of the services. It may take a few minutes for the machine to reach normal speeds as it's coming from a cold cache (nothing in memory).
  20. The FSCK has completed and we're rebooting the machine now.
  21. The FSCK is 60% completed.
  22. The filesystem went read-only again however the RAID is reporting optimal. Unfortunately we're going to have to reboot and fsck the /home directory which can take some time to complete. We'll be updating this thread with status updates as this progresses.
  23. The machine is currently online. We're investigating as to what was causing the file system issues.
  24. Running IPB won't be an issue as all of our servers run 128M memory limit for PHP. Transferring from another host to us is fairly painless - once your account is setup simply submit a ticket with the login credentials to the other host and we'll update you when the transfer is finished. I'm not sure what you mean by "addon slots" however all of our accounts allow unlimited "addon domains" which essentially allows you to host an unlimited amount of websites under your primary cPanel account. There is no additional addons / pricing for this feature. Transferring additional domains gets a bit confusing unless you're purchasing a reseller account as you can't simply restore them using cPanel (unless they're already under the cPanel account we're transferring over). That would be a fairly manual process however we would need more information to give you information. Also we don't offer "official" support via our forums so you'll likely get more timely responses if you submit a ticket to our support system at https://support.hawkhost.com/ Let us know if you have any other questions and or concerns .
  25. Usually if this happens it's because it didn't pass our fraud check. If you simply submit a ticket to sales or billing (https://support.hawkhost.com) we can iron out as to why it was marked as fraudulent and work with you to get your account processed.
