Saturn is currently having ongoing issues and is offline. We'll post more information shortly as we investigate further.
-
This is likely because your FTP client isn't trying to delete them recursively and thus it's failing. Go inside of them and delete any contents first.

We're looking into revamping our reseller offerings shortly for the precise reason you mention. We'll likely be adjusting them accordingly so shared accounts don't have more disk / bandwidth. You can find test downloads & speed tests on our network page here: http://www.hawkhost.com/Network . We will not be able to provide you with an FTP however the speed test will test the upstream to the server so that should be sufficient in helping you choose a location. You have the option to choose which facility your put in during the signup process. For future reference our forums aren't an official support channel so you'll generally get a faster response by submitting a ticket to our support desk at https://support.hawkhost.com Cheers, Cody

It looks like the domain might not be resolving yet - try to use the server name instead for the time being (should be listed in the welcome e-mail).

Simply set the mail headers $to = ""; $subject = "Some awesome subject"; $message = "Some body"; $headers = "From: \r\n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: \r\n"; mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);
Take a peak at the mail() function page on php.net

Ah I see - unfortunately there is little you can do aside from purchasing an SSL certificate. You can find decent prices at GoDaddy. Just by glancing at RetailMeNot I was able to find a coupon WOWSSL which will drop the price of their standard SSL certificates to $12.99 which should be within your budget.

Do VPS accounts include private nameservers?
Cody R. replied to writerguy's topic in Virtual Private Servers
We don't provide any additional services with the VPS - most users setup name servers on the VPS itself or use a third party such as dnsmadeeasy.com or freedns.afraid.org -
Wow - you may have been here longer than me! You've been on our legacy machines (well they've been upgraded several times) so it shows your accounts age (my personal stuff is on Mercury as well). The company is indeed Canadian - we exclusively use SoftLayer currently so we're limited to where they're at. They're expanding rapidly in 2011/2012 so hopefully we'll see some Canadian presence relatively soon. Thanks for the update .

PayPal may have images you can hotlink to behind HTTPS. That being said unless your website is using HTTPS the "Some content is insecure" warning wouldn't apply.

Hello, 1) Yes, we offer VPS in the Washington location 2) Our VPS machines are on 1Gbit lines 3) We use OpenVZ for virtualization currently so the CPU is shared 4) There is no limit beyond what you setup For future reference for a quicker reply use our support desk at https://support.hawkhost.com

The Jedi server is experiencing additional network issues. We're in contact with data center engineers who are investigating as to why.
-
At this time everything is fully responsive in WDC. We'll be monitoring the network closely for the next 24 hours and inquiring with the data center as to what exactly went wrong during their mitigation and what actions will be taken to prevent further issues such as these from happening.
-
According to the network engineers the DDoS has been mitigated although we're still experiencing connectivity issues to two of our WDC servers (Neptune, Jedi). They're currently investigating as to why.
-
According to the data center technicians this is due to a large inbound DDoS to WDC. They're currently working on mitigating the DDoS. Not every WDC server is affected by this currently.
-
We're still waiting on word from the Sr. network engineers at the data center in regards to this issue. We hope to be able to provide more information shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
-
We're currently trying to get further information on the issue / an ETA on how long until resolution.
-
There is currently intermittent connectivity in our WDC facility due to a network issue that's currently being investigated by data center technicians. We'll provide more updates in this thread as we receive more information.
-
Please submit a ticket to our support system as this isn't an official means of providing support. At a glance it appears to be warnings from the software / a plugin although you should be able to have them suppressed as it's just being very verbose right now. For good measure submit that ticket so a technician can double check . https://support.hawkhost.com/

This has already been rectified hence our move to CloudLinux on all of our machines

The machine is booting services but this concludes this maintenance window.

Unfortunately due to the necessity of some features of this upgrade we're forced to bump this maintenance window to this evening. Please view the original thread for the times.

We'll be performing a kernel upgrade on on Monday January 20th between 10:00pm and 11:00pm CST. This upgrade will allow us enhanced resource tracking to help address resource abuse issues. We estimate the server will be down for about 10 minutes while the machine is rebooting to the new kernel. Date: 01/20/2010 Start time (EST): 11:00pm End time (EST): 12:00am Duration: 1 hour Estimated Down Time: 10 minutes
