  7. You can use the "Addon Domains" option within cPanel to host multiple websites under the same account however it will share the same user space (files / etc). If you want individual cPanel accounts for each website you'll either need to purchase separate accounts or use a reseller which would enable you to create accounts yourself .

  10. Unfortunately unless one of our users has experience with this we won't be able to help you. I would say you might have better off posting on the Jelsoft forums however I don't know how they'll take to downgrading to v3 from v4 (as v4 was a big release for them). What methods have you used?

  15. You should use your domain or the servers hostname (IE: avenger.hawkhost.com). The default port is fine (3306) - keep in mind you need to add the IP of the connecting host via cPanel: https://support.hawkhost.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=144 Don't hesitate to submit a support ticket to our support desk if you have further questions / need assistance .
  16. Are you referring to our primary website or our forums?
  17. For the past 72 hours we've experienced brief periods of connectivity issues (packet loss, high latency or brief periods of no connectivity) with our WDC location. We're working with the facility engineers to diagnose and resolve the issue. We suspect it may be due to faulty hardware. We'll post more information as we receive information. All services are online.
  18. It looks like you've already been setup . For future reference inquiries such as these will be replied to much quicker if you use an official means of support such as our support system. I've removed your name from the post so it's a bit more private for you as well.
  19. You're likely looking for the third option "Update My Nameservers". The second option will literally transfer the ownership of the domain from your current registrar over to ours and renew it for an additional year (just how transfers work). The system however should not be showing your domain available if it's not. If that's the case please contact our support department and let us know what domain you're using / having issues with.
  20. Everything is currently online. We're waiting for more information from the network engineers on what the issue was.
  21. We currently lost all connectivity at our Seattle data center. Network engineers have acknowledged there is an ongoing issue on their end and they're actively investigating. We'll post more information as we receive it.
  22. You have a couple of options. You can point the name servers to ours and then change the MX records on our end to point to Network Solutions e-mail servers. Alternatively you can just add the DNS records manually on Network Solutions end and keep the DNS control over there.
  23. Yes, check our website for the discounts / cost per year: http://www.hawkhost.com/Shared/compare . If you would like to change the billing cycle to yearly simply submit a ticket to billing and we'll create the invoice for you.
  24. We'll be performing a kernel upgrade on on Wednesday April 12th between 12PM-3PM PDT. While we use KSplice to keep our kernels up-to-date for critical bugs and security fixes it doesn't pull in new features from the upstream kernel. As a result we perform semi-annual kernel updates to keep everything up-to-date and in-line with upstream. Date: 04/12/2011 Start time (PDT): 12:00pm End time (PDT): 3:00pm Duration: 1 hour Estimated Down Time: 10 minutes
