Our reseller plans include 24/7 support from our team so if you encounter any issues we can certainly attempt to help you figure them out. Even if your issue is outside the scope of our support we can usually advise you on the best way to go about fixing the problem.

Good evening my Hawk Host friends

We've just finished rolling out some minor tweaks to our cPanel theme. Those changes included adding a server location, status page link, and speedtest link directly into the stats column in your cPanel account.

We've also added a free 10GB of space and 200GB of bandwidth to all semi-dedicated plans.

Welcome to the forums, and thanks for signing up with us!

You can absolutely host multiple domains from a single shared hosting plan. You can add the domains through cPanel using the 'Addon Domains' interface. There is no limit to the number of domains you can add and each will be their own unique site/content.

    Take a look at http://features.cpanel.net/responses/two-factor-authentication-is-a-must

Long and short of it is they're well aware of the request, they'd be pretty out of touch if they hadn't at least discussed/considered supporting 2 factor authentication. There are some free/public modules you can install (as the root user) to implement this for WHM but nothing natively supported (as of yet).

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see full 2 factor support by the end of the year, if not sooner. Much to cPanels credit they've been implementing a lot more feature requests lately, their releases are more frequent, and are also full of new features, especially with a focus on security.

For a breakdown of the plans we offer, the differences between them, and who should use what, this is a good place to start: http://blog.hawkhost.com/2013/05/08/back-to-the-basics-shared-reseller-semi-dedicated-and-vps-hosting/

The idea was to give new users or people setting up a site for the first time an idea of what the differences are between plans. Feedback is welcome

You'll want to add the following record under the 'Include' section in the 'Email Authentication' interface in cPanel:

    _spf.arandomserver.com

That should take care of everything for SPF when using SpamExperts. If you run into any issues doing this our support team will also be able to add the record for you.

Very small change to our domain registration offerings, but we're now accepting 2 and 3 year registrations and renewals on the following domains:

    .com
    .net
    .org
    .info
    .us
    .biz
    .name

Previously the longest term we offered was one year. Pricing for all these TLDs is $21.90 for 2 years and $32.85 for 3. We're also looking into offering some different domains, specifically .ca, com.au, .net.au, .me, and maybe a few others.

If there are any specific ones you guys would like offered / see value in, I'm all ears!

Please try logging into your helpdesk account (https://support.hawkhost.com) using the same email address and password that you use for your client area (https://my.hawkhost.com/clientarea.php). The login details for both properties are the same, and it's based off the client area, so if you can access your client area you should also be able to access your helpdesk.

This is possible, could you please let me know your ticket ID? I'll look into this further through your ticket and follow up with you there with more details about this.

First and foremost sorry about the issues and thank you for sticking with us through them. We know it hasn't been ideal and that's why we're working on these migrations literally 24/7 (We spent our Sunday watching football and doing transfers, it was fun!) to get everyone onto the new network and new hardware ASAP. You're going to be very happy with the performance after you're on the new server. It's all brand new, top of the line hardware with SSD based caching, and the network is honestly one of the best on the West coast.

We're extremely excited about this upgrade

    Howdy Steve4,

This is the kind of thing I love to see -- thank you for being a customer this long!

Not at all uncommon unfortunately. There are a few countries we constantly see involved with fraud / malicious activity, Turkey being one of them.

You would actually need to sign up directly through their site (https://www.cloudflare.com) to use their services on a reseller plan (still free though). The reason you don't see it in cPanel is the plugin is branded to Hawk Host, and since we provide strictly unbranded/whitelabel reseller plans, we couldn't include it on reseller servers.

As another suggestion, a site like http://www.ip2location.com/free/visitor-blocker will provide you a list of IPs owned by a given country which you can then use your .htaccess to block.

I recommend using Cloudflare for a number of reasons (automatic filtering of known malicious requests, automatic blocking of known malicious IPs, etc) but if you prefer to not rely on third party services, .htaccess would work just fine

I'm very sorry to both of you for the delay -- we've had a bit of a backlog this week so a lot of our normal operations were taking far longer than they should have. We know it's not acceptable but I wanted to provide an explanation.

We're addressing everything we can so I'm glad to see your orders have been setup now. If you have any other issues or questions please let me know directly (either via PM or a support ticket addressed to me) and I'll take care of you.

Again I apologize for the delay and I do appreciate you signing up with us. Thank you!

I made an "official" post at http://forums.hawkhost.com/topic/2319-semi-dedicated-plans-now-available/ but since that forum doesn't permit comments/feedback, I wanted to open up a topic here to introduce our newest service, semi-dedicated hosting.

What do you guys think of the plans? Any feedback or suggestions you can make initially? These plans are brand new, we launched them maybe an hour before I made this post so we're very receptive to feedback and opinions right now.

    Let us hear it

Brian got a reaction from asdfgt28b in Blog post ideas?
We've got some interesting blog posts coming up here shortly (more technical/nerdy ones) from some of our systems engineers and developers which I'm personally looking forward to reading. Being more of an operations/customer service guy myself, my posts tend to be more in the obscure, or what our company is up to, changes we're making to the business, etc.

I figured I'd open up the floor and see if there is anything you guys would like a "behind the scenes" post about? Obviously if your ideas involve revealing trade secrets or non-public information I'd not be able to write about that, but if you have an idea let me know and I'll see what I can do!
