  1. I had the machine rebooted and everything is back online - I'll post information on to why this crashed shortly. *EDIT* It appears someone was flooding the MySQL server causing it to spike and crashing the server before SIM could kill off the process and restart it. We'll be looking into ways to make sure this doesn't happen in the future. Cheers!
  2. It appears Skylines services locked up - not sure to why at the moment. We're having the machine rebooted at this time. Update forthcoming. Start Time: 10:30PM PST End Time: 10:35PM PST
  3. Glad to hear it worked out for you! In the future if you don't feel like breaking up the SQL file into smaller sections just upload it to the root of your account and submit a ticket with the filename / MySQL details and we'll import it for you.
  4. Thanks for the kind words, and we're glad you're happy! I hope you enjoy your stay with us . If you like we can add a portion of this testimonial to the front page along with your site, just let us know (needs to be truncated due to its size). Either way thanks again and cheers!
  5. We hope you enjoy your stay! Keep in mind our forums are checked a few times a day, but not monitored (like our support system, etc). So if you have any questions / concerns I would recommend submitting a ticket. That being said, hopefully you won't need to contact us regarding an issue! Cheers!
  6. The machine appears to be running fine after a quick reboot / fsck. All services and websites are online. Sorry for the trouble! *EDIT* Since people have been asking, the FSCK showed NO corruption.
  7. We're currently experiencing some issues with Skyline that's affecting several services. We're investigating this now and will keep you updated via this ticket. Start Time: ~10:43PM PST
  8. Try to whois your domain and see if it divulges the registrar (http://www.whois.sc)
  9. What link were you using exactly?
  10. Sounds good, cheers!
  11. That shouldn't be an issue - the only concern I would have (just from a webmasters standpoint) is some shoutbox scripts tend to refresh at an unrealistic time (1 second refresh) - if you have a 100 people visiting your site I'm sure you can see the bottleneck. Granted it wouldn't affect you at your current standing - that's the only "issue" I would foresee in the future - but if you had the delay set properly on the shoutbox it's not even remotely an issue. (Reason I'm dwelling on the shoutbox is we were hosting a fairly large website who insisted on a 1 second refresh on their shoutbox.. they dropped that idea fairly quickly ).
  12. It shouldn't be an issue I believe (as you said) cPanel allows a simple asterisk for the wildcard. If not submit a ticket and we can add the DNS entry for you . There's no cURL limitations - though ticket us with your exacty requirements and we'll clear up any questions you have.
  13. Can't wait to see you
  14. Sorry about that - enabled
  15. Good call - I completely forgot to mention that
  16. You can remove the cgi-bin/ and .htaccess folder/file if you like. If you plan on running any CGI scripts then you'll need the cgi-bin/ folder .
  17. Well awhile ago I enabled vBulletins data output thing - though I never posted about it. Basically you can grab the last 5 posts or threads from the forum using the forum ID (5 for announcements etc). Use the following for the last 5 threads (THREADS, not posts) from the announcement forum: http://www.hawkhost.com/forums/external.php?type=xml&forumids=5 and use the following for the last 5 posts (so if there's an update it'll jump to the top of the list.. basically the most recently replied in thread): http://www.hawkhost.com/forums/external.php?type=xml&forumids=5&lastpost=true Hopefully that helps, let us know if that doesn't suit your needs.
  18. This is just a reminder that PHP4's will completely be discontinued to be supported by PHP on August 8th, as a result we'll be removing it from our machines August 9th. If you have any concerns whether your scripts will run please contact the vendor of the script, or if you can't get ahold of them you can contact us and we'll take a peak. PHP4 has numerous security issues and lack of functionality - this is the main reason for discontinuing it in favor of PHP5 - most of your scripts should work and the transition won't be noticeable. Please see this thread for our previous announcements regarding this. - Hawk Host Staff
  19. After poking around cPanel forums for awhile I don't believe this is possible - as Tony said regardless of what variables you pop into the GET request they still have to login with their username / password, which would effectively negate any of the variables you set. I'll look around a bit more to verify
  20. Thanks for the kind words - we try our best to relay any information we have to our customers, especially when there might be downtime. Luckily we didn't even have to utilize the backups from the morning because the RAID eventually was able to rebuild itself. Any who, thanks for sticking it out with us in the 1.4~ hours of downtime.. it was more than we would have liked but given the situation we're fairly satisfied with it (and the fact no data was lost is a big plus)! Enjoy your hosting, and hopefully we won't see any more hardware failures. Cheers!
  21. The last drive has finished rebuilding the array and the server is running at 100% again with full redundancy. Once again thanks for being patient during this whole process - I hope we've given you some faith when it comes to hardware failures . Cheers!
  22. A quick update; It appears 3/4 of the drives are online and fully functional and the last one is finishing up the rebuilding the array.
  23. No problem, thanks for being patient. Luckily the situation worked out okay .
  24. Well as of Tony's reply everything is online - we'll be keeping this thread open until everything is 100% operational (raid rebuilds). Thanks for everyones patience!
  25. For any discussion regarding this please use this thread: http://www.hawkhost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152 Thanks!
