As of right now we have nothing in the works to offer reseller services in the UK. However, should our upstream provider open a location there we'll certainly consider it. A lot of the problem comes down to available IP space in these regions as IPv4 availability dwindles.

You'll want to login to cPanel and add the domain as an Addon Domain. Once added you can create email addresses and upload your content and get the site going. You'll also want to change your nameservers to ours from within the registrars panel to point the domain to us

I'm not aware of any ways to reduce the usage on chat scripts and my understanding is that most shoutboxes/chat scripts will use close to the same amount of resources. If you absolutely must have this for your forums I'd suggest finding a host that fully supports them as there is the chance we'll ask you to disable it.

fsck has completed on /home, we're starting on /var and then /usr now.
-
The fsck is now at 75% completed on the /home partition.
-
The fsck is now at 50% completed on the /home partition.

We're at 25% completed on the /home partition.

This server has had a kernel panic and as a result of the crash we're going to be running fsck on the /home, /var, and /usr partitions. This thread will be updated as we progress.

This migration has been completed.

Are you asking why our specific VPS hosting is the best, or why VPS is better in general ?

The only issue I see is that per our TOS/AUP, chatboxes/shoutboxses are not allowed. While we don't actively search for running shoutboxes often times they'll cause an account to abuse system resources (they're extremely resource intensive) which catches the attention of our abuse team. So you can run it fine for a year without us noticing but if it starts to cause resource issues you'd be contacted and asked to disable it.

We provide 24/7 support through our helpdesk and email system, but that does not extend to our phone or livechat support. Submitting a ticket at https://support.hawkhost.com is your best way to receive support from us
-
The system is back online at this time. If you are still experiencing any issues please contact us at https://support.hawkhost.com

It appears we've lost public connectivity for this server. The issue is being investigated by the facilities team at this time. We'll update this thread as we have more information.

The support desk uses a different login than the forum. If you haven't submitted a ticket previously you wouldn't have an active helpdesk account. Submitting a ticket directly through https://support.hawkhost.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit will create an account for you. As for email you could modify your DNS zones to use an external provider (through your MX records) though we do offer email so we could provide that as well.

If you register it with another registrar you could change the nameservers to ours and host it on an account with us.
-
If you login to webmail for the user accounts in question you should be able to view and delete the older emails. Unfortunately there's no automated way through cPanel to delete emails older than a certain date.

Unfortunately we do not offer registration services for .com.au domains. While you are able to host one from your account with us you're unable to register it here.

Restore of cPanel backup to different domain name
Brian replied to norEastern's topic in Reseller Hosting
When a cPanel account is restored there is no way to pass any arguments for it to restore under an existing account/username, so it would have to be restored on the server using the existing username and domain name from the backup. Once restored you could obviously reconfigure your files/path accordingly but based on what you've described it is unfortunately not possible while restoring. -
All sites have been moved to new IPs and should now be accessible again.
-
Unfortunately we've had to move sites to new shared IPs. Please login to cPanel to see your new shared IP. If you're unable to locate this please submit a ticket with us at https://support.hawkhost.com and we can let you know the IP your site is hosted on.

This server is currently under a DDoS attack, we're working on resolving it right now. This may result in an IP change for your account. We'll update this thread as we have more information. Please submit a ticket at https://support.hawkhost.com if you have any further questions.

1) ID Protection is the ability to hide your whois listing from public viewing, so when someone does a whois lookup they don't see your contact details but are instead shown a generic privacy protect contact. 2) When you place your order, on step 5 there is an additional notes field. In this field, please explain what you just said above. I would also suggest providing a link to this thread as well. Odds are our system will flag the order for manual review, at which point the first thing we'll look for is those notes and any verification you can provide. Should we need any further proof or if there is an issue, we'll contact you.

We do offer the ability to move to a new location if need be. You wouldn't be charged for something like that either.

1) The dedicated IP will be billed on the same term as your hosting plan so we'd align the billing/renewal dates. 2) The only downtime would be associated with DNS propagation while going to the new IP. That should only affect your ability to reach the site(s) for a few hours or less. Of course the site would still actually be online you may just see it as down since you'd go to the old IP (due to cache). 3) There is no installation cost from us, the only additional price you pay is for the IP, and if you choose to purchase the SSL certificate from us (http://hawkhost.com/sslcertificate) 4) Your private key and CSR can be generated right in cPanel under the 'TLS/SSL' manage. We have a KB article with instructions on doing that here: https://support.hawkhost.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=163
