  1. /usr/bin/convert is where imagemagick is. You may need to make a ticket for us to allow your account access to it.
  2. We generally have accounts up within a few hours. If you're using yahoo, gmail, hotmail they are really bad for marking account information emails as spam. A lot of the time they end up there even though they're clearly not spam.
  3. LiteSpeed does not read php.ini files. If you want to override any settings you need to do it in the .htaccess file like you would if we were running mod_php So for example: php_value post_max_size 25M
  4. We can switch the owner of a reseller account to another account on the reseller. So you'd just need to make a ticket asking for the other account to become the primary account of the reseller.

    New Site

Well this is why we have: http://www.hawkhost.com/support/index.php?group=default It talks about support. It's about trying to separate sales and support as we've had issues with people asking sales questions to support. Now right now the button on the site takes any department due to legacy and current customers using the chat on the main site as a form of support. Eventually though the goal would be for support go to through the support area whether it be ticket or chat so we'd have less sales related inquiries going to support and vice versa.

    2.5 years!

Well things have changed a lot since the Devoted Host days. We get more signups in one day now as Hawk Host then we did in a month with Devoted Host. I guess it's thanks to everyone recommending us and spreading the word Hopefully you stay another 2.5 years
  11. You stole my suggestion

    Review Hawkhost.

That website is actually just full of affiliate links I doubt they put up new hosts. A lot of them are like this unfortunately. Reviews do help on wherever you found us whether it's a forum or a review site.
  13. Even if it could there are still the issues of integration with the web server. We don't run Apache for one. Yep it's a nice thing to not have to worry about chmoding any files. Upload the files and you're ready to go. It's surprising how many hosts still use mod_php and as a result we have users who will chmod every file to 777. Or if it's not straight away they run into any issue no matter what they chmod all their files to 777 only to find out that's not the solution at all.
  14. Yep for the server use the servers hostname whatever it may be.
  15. The SSL certificates on hosting accounts are used just for the web server and are not part of other services like POP3 and SMTP. The only way around this error is to use the servers hostname which is actually what is suggested by cPanel on the configure page. Each of our machines the hostname has a valid SSL certificate to avoid errors like this.
  16. Unfortunately it's not available within cPanel. We have the backups and we can do restores for you if you request one via ticket. One of the goals of the software in it's 3.0 release is to have it have better control panel integration but it's probably 8-12 months from now before 3.0 is released and stable.
  17. Yep under the backup page it gives you links to download each database. You can also do it through phpmyadmin.
  18. The problem is it will not run as each user but rather as the web server. We prefer that anything we offer whether it be Perl, PHP, Python ect. run as the user. If that is not the case it's a big headache and a security nightmare in a lot of cases as well.
  19. It just finished rebuilding things should be getting back to normal load wise now. There were a few spikes near the end of the rebuild. There was not much we could do about it as keeping data safe out ways a few minutes of less then stellar performance.
  20. The drive has been replaced. It's just rebuilding now.
  21. We will be replacing the drive within the next 30 minutes. After that it'll be a matter of the rebuild which may cause slightly higher i/o wait but nothing major to slow things to a crawl.
  22. One of the drives on the raid-10 array of Yoda has failed. This was causing large amounts of i/o wait on the node as the drive had not yet been dropped. Once the drive was dropped from the raid array due to inconsistencies the i/o wait has come back down. We are already preparing to replace the bad drive as our machines support hot-swap which means we can replace the drive on the fly. We do not have a time as of yet as we're in the process of coordinating with datacenter staff. We will update this thread once we have an exact time on when the bad drive is being replaced. Date: 03/21/2008 Start time (EST): 10:00pm EST End time (EST): Ongoing Estimated Down Time: None Duration: Unknown
