is pluto down again? how about a spare server where you can just pull pluto's hard drive then plug into the spare server? these are for cases wherein there are mechanical failure or what not
Yeah I agree the best thing about them is their support. You would not be able to see any other host which would answer to your tickets or to any server incident faster than hawkhost.
While you can't possibly have 100% uptime anywhere- hawkhost would let you in the loop at what's happening with your hosting by the moment- not unlike any other host which would give alibis to look good.
I salute hawkhost for this!
so what is the difference between a linux based php server against a windows based php server? oh of course the linux based one would give you a hell less of headaches.
unless you would be giving out certain new things from the windows hosting like asp perhaps- i think offering java in your hosting would reach out to more new customers
I use filezilla but I regularly get this error
Error: Could not read from socket: ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer
Error: Disconnected from server
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
and this is what I get from gftp
Error: Could not read from socket: Connection reset by peer
anyone have an idea why this happens?
i have encountered quite a few installations wherein imagemagick path was not found (if i am not mistaken the app was joomla or maybe wordpress).
can hh possibly make at least a link from the standard imagemagick path to the your imagemagick configuration so that the apps would not need to complain about imagemagick not being found?
Since I am a reseller, my legal pages should somehow agree with that of hh's. So would it be ok to base or even copy hh's terms of service, aceptable use, privacy policy, children's policy etc.?
Guys can anyone tell me where to buy the cheapest domain? But of course i also want a reliable domain registrar. I will also be in the webhosting business soon- and hawkhost better beware lol jokes
Also, I do not get the godaddy promo selling domains for as low as $1.99 stating "For all new and current customers with any new, non-domain purchase." Would it mean that I can buy a webhosting from them for three months then I can buy any number of domains at just $2.99 each? What are the other details of that promo?
any chance hawkhost would provide free website templates? i know that might be far from reality as salaries for graphic designers would be added costs.
or can you list web sites giving absolutely free templates? thanks!
i was already able to setup my account by pointing the dns of my domain to hawkhost. also, i have been able to create a new web host account as well. but i didn't really understand the idea about nameservers and private nameservers. i was wondering whether hh can release a sort of quick start guide for new reseller buyers. just an idea
