  1. About 25% complete seeding machines and I'm basing this off of disk usage used in comparison to the old machine. As far as machines a few have been completed thus far and they'll all be done in probably 12-16 hours.
  2. The new machine is online and has started seeding backups for our machines. It should be done seeding all machines in the next 24 hours and as each machine finishes it's regular backup schedule will start again.
  3. The Bosco machine will be going down today (July 27th) for upgrades. The new specification machine is currently being built and once completed we will be turning off our old machine named Bosco. Once that is done we will proceed to reseed backups of each server. The reason for this upgrade is to provide more space and more importantly improve the speeds of our backups. The old machine had the following specifications Xeon 3060 2GB RAM 4x1TB Raid-5 The new machine is the following: Dual Xeon 5130 4GB RAM 12x1TB Raid-10 As you can see it's a substantial upgrade from the previous server. We will update this post as more information is available.
  4. We have around the clock support so if you make a ticket at 4am our time you will receive a response soon after.

    Datacenters

You are showing up as being on a server that is in Washington DC. Keep in mind the geo IP will not be accurate as it's based off of IP ownership not actual location.

    Datacenters

On our order form it asks you what location you'd like so you can select Washington DC. Also make sure you're talking about the right Washington. There is Seattle, Washington where Washington is the state and there is Washington DC where Washington is the city. Seattle is on the west coast and Washington is on the east coast.
  7. Should stay up for good this time.
  8. The emergency response team at the datacenter in Seattle has been deployed which means it's a much larger issue than originally anticipated. We're currently being told this affects 10 racks in Seattle. We have no ETA on when this will be resolved unfortunately.
  9. It has been determined that the switch Titan is connected to has failed. It's currently being replaced we have no ETA on when that'll be completed as of yet.
  10. You'd need to open a ticket with billing to have it done.
  11. First of all do you accept paypal or is it just CC? - We accept Paypal as well How many MySQL connections do you allow? - 25 this should be plenty for any site that would fit into a shared hosting environment Would you move form my web host to yours - Yep
  12. We could switch your location but keep in mind your IP would be changing so there would be DNS propagation to worry about. If your site has dynamic user content it would be best to disable that until you're resolving to only the new server otherwise you could end up with data being out of sync. This is because some users may go to the old site while others the new so obviously old server people once the dns switches over what they've done will be gone.

We do not estimate that it'll take 30 minutes to do we will just be doing it during this window. We estimate there will be 1 minute of MySQL down time in order to restart the service to complete the upgrade. There may be none at all we're just giving an estimate that it could be 1 minute. 25. Should be finished and everything is running at full speed again. Although for the most part today things have been very fast once it got through the initial portion. We've now started up any tasks that were stopped for the time being (stats runs and backups)
