  1. Everything should be fully online again we're now going to go replace the bad drive (you should not notice)
  2. The server is now back online and services are coming online as I type this.
  3. The server just went off line.
  4. Just a small correction some delays we'll be doing it around 10:00am PDT and it'll be down for about 15 minutes is our estimate assuming nothing bad happens. Once the server is back up we'll still replace the one hard drive but that will be non service impacting.
  5. We have received notification of another failed drive on the Titan server this time being on the same port as a drive that was replaced just recently. This is pretty rare thing to happen so we believe it be best to replace the raid card. It has also been throwing various errors and emails us events suggesting it's just not right. This could be due to the power issue a while ago or this card could have been faulty for some time and it just took us seeing two drives on the same port fail within a short while. We will be doing this as soon as possible the current estimate is we'll be replacing the card at about 9:45AM PDT and the machine should be down no more than 20 minutes. We're very sorry about the short notice regarding this but when the raid card is acting strange we rather replace it as soon as possible then avoid possible data loss.
  6. This has just started. It started a little late then originally planned but should still finish on time.

  9. The machine is pretty much built here are the final specifications Dual Xeon 5430 12GB RAM 4x300GB SAS 15K RPM Raid-10 So it has an extra CPU 3 times as much memory and the drives are probably twice as fast as well. Accounts should started being migrated on Friday as tomorrow we'll finish configuring and testing the machine.

  13. Zend Framework is no longer in the default PHP include path. As stated you can just upload the library and it'll work fine on our hosting.

  16. Exactly. Sorry I mis typed it before it should have been public_html/index.html [addon domain]/index.html You could break it down more like you suggested to. Totally up to you my point was you do not need to have the add-on domains in your public_html folder.
  17. At this time we do not. That might change in the future but right now we're working on our own panel which will support OpenVZ first. We also have not had much demand for Xen at this time.
  18. There needs to be one domain pointing to your public_html folder. This does not stop you from doing this though: public_html/index.html [addon domain]/index.html The recommended url is not the one you need to use. When you create an add-on domain you can remove the public_html portion from it.
  19. Is SSH enabled on your account? It needs to be enabled in order to use sftp. I would recommend making a ticket for further help though really tough to say what's going on.
  20. I'm just wondering if there is any interest in SSL certificates? If we offered them through our site at say $12.95/yr or something along those lines? We're just trying to get an idea if there would be any interest. We have users quite frequently inquiring about them so we think it might be time to make it an option to order them on our site.
  21. There are two ways to use SFTP. The first one is using username and password of your account. So in that case you just select SFTP from the drop down and put in your information. The second one you need to generate a key in cPanel download it then import it into Filezilla using the instructions on the page provided. Then on the SFTP setup you just add the username and it'll authenticate using the SSH key.
  22. That's true I always say I can eat anything I have an awesome metabolism. On the other hand I generally eat healthy so it probably helps. I don't go out eating fast food or any of that although that's probably because my family never did that. So I don't see the need to go have a burger or whatever. I could use the fat during the winter though would keep me warm.
  23. Good news everyone we can still eat pizza! http://www.mensfitness.com/nutrition/146 Come to think of it I wouldn't stop eating it anyways so the article means nothing!

    Windows Hosting

Fixed that I imagine what's going to happen is eventually cPanel the Linux version will simply become Enkompass as well. So you'll have an all in one solution for Windows and Linux that supports multiple servers. They'll get away from the per server to per user license. So it'll be similar to Hsphere with it being all in one. It'll give an advantage to hosts who are using more than one server such as us. We could turn 5 web servers we currently have into 2 web + 1 mysql + 1 mail or whatever. That's probably a ways away though they talked about how cPanel 12 would offer that sort of thing.
  25. It appears as if finally cPanel's Enkompass panel for windows is coming out. So I ask is anyone even interested in windows hosting? Here's their overview page: http://www.cpanel.net/windows/overview.html It has quite a few advantages over it's linux based version. It supports multiple servers properly right out of the box. So we can run multiple web servers, multiple mail, multiple SQL ect. So it's quite easy to build out a much more scalable infrastructure. As far as if we'll offer and if so when? Well that's totally up in the air as we're looking at the interest in it first of all. The second is being able to properly invest and create an infrastructure that will provide the quality necessary to offer the windows hosting using encompass.
