The server has just been taken offline to upgrade the memory.
-
On Thursday June 7th between 1:00am and 4:00am CEST (GMT+2) we will be adding additional memory to the ams001 server to bring it to an optimal memory configuration. Adding the additional memory will require the machine to be turned off so there will be between 30 and 45 minutes of down time. The memory although designed just to fix the configuration for CPU performance it will also go from 24GB to 32GB which should provide a boost in performance. If you have any questions regarding this maintenance notice please do not hesitate to contact our systems administration department. Date: 06/07/2012 Start time CEST (GMT+2): 1:00am End time CEST (GMT+2): 4:00am Duration: 3 hours Estimated Down Time: 30 minutes

The voodoo server has crashed around 6:15 PM EDT due to a kernel panic. Upon booting the machine back up we noted that a file system check was now required to bring the server back online. We will be running the file system check now then investigate further once the machine is online why there was a kernel panic. We're assuming it may be due to a hardware issue most likely (memory) but we won't know for sure until we're able to check system logs. We are seeing an increasing number of file system errors being reported on the sea006 server resulting in some stability issues with the system at times. We will be taking the server offline on Saturday June 2nd at 11am PDT to run a file system check to repair the file system errors being encountered. We estimate that the file system check will take approximately 2 hours to complete. This is necessary maintenance as eventually the operating system will set the file system read only and it will become an unscheduled emergency window. Date: 06/02/2012 Start time (PDT): 11:00AM End time (PDT): 1:00PM Duration: 2 hours Estimated Down Time: 2 hours

At approximately 4:30pm PDT the Hurricane server went offline upon further inspection it was discovered it went due to high load from the file system on the server going read only. The machine is being prepared for a file system check now and we hope to have it back online with 2 hours. We're sorry about any inconvenience this may cause but unfortunately the system will require a file system check before it will boot back up.

Unfortunately the two portions it's giving warnings about we'll be unable to change in our shared environment.

Stopping addon domain from being accessible from main domain?
Tony replied to themaxx's topic in Shared Hosting
Yes it is when you add an add-on domain it asks you where you want to store it and by default it does public_html/domain.com . You can store it as strictly domain.com or even a bunch of sub folders like domains/blogs/ or name the folder anything you want.
