You have nothing to worry about. 25% is not high but the main thing you should look at is if your site hits 100% and how often. It is normal for CPU usage to fluctuate depending on traffic and even if you do hit 100% on an occasion, it might have only been for less than a second.  If you hit 100% often then you need to start to worry but you are probably far away from that. 
 
Inactive plugins still count towards disk space usage as they are still on the server but they shouldn't affect CPU usage if they are not active.

I am not sure what art you are failing at but phpbb mods are as simple as downloading the mod, unzipping it and opening the install.xml file in your browser.  Then you just upload the files to where it tells you and then you copy and paste the sections of code where it tells you. Make sure you do the template edits aswell and clear the cache through the acp.

I'm most likely going to the coffee shop today (my writing haven, of sorts) and plan on pushing out a "What the hell have you guys been doing this summer?" type post. I can't promise it'll be published today but it will be worked on and likely live by the end of the week.

You could talk about the most common support questions recieved, the type of software (or any software in particular) customers run that causes you guys the most headaches and why it causes problems.

The type of blog posts I really would like to see again (as I mentioned elsewhere) are the monthly reports. They used to list things that have happened that month, things being worked on and how well promotions went down for example.

PHP is 5.2.17 is newer then PHP 5.2.5 so you should not have any issues installing Drupal. You could also use php 5.3 by following the instructions -
