kentu Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 about 4 month ago i host my site on hawkhost and choose Dallas TX Data Center, and at cpanel it called skyline, it powered 8 cores CPU. But, when i ask my friend to look at his Mars core at cpanel and it have 16 core, FYI : when he create an account on Hawkhost he choose "First Available". Can you tell me why, same price (basic plan) but get different server spec ? Regards Quote
Brian Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Over the past few months we've upgraded all of our servers, so in the time you signed up and he did, the machine he got placed on was upgraded to a higher specification. Tony Posted February 14, 2010 Report Posted February 14, 2010 Small things Skyline has a 5450 CPU's and Mars has 5520's and 5520's have hyper threading which is why it shows up as 16 cpu's. It only has 8 real CPU's. Quote
