rushtheweb Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 I was just curious if you were planning to offer Git support any time in the future? Thanks. Quote
Tony Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 The last time we tested git it did not work properly for users if we compiled it. Now if you compile git yourself on your account it works just fine. It has something to do with when we configure it what it sets as far as how much memory it can commit and such. Quote
rushtheweb Posted February 1, 2010 Author Report Posted February 1, 2010 Awesome, I've already signed up, and in fact you helped me with some cPanel issues already. In order for me to setup Git (if I need it), do I need to upgrade from a shared plan to a VPS? Thanks. Quote
Brian Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 If you compile your own Git it will work under your account. We've had some users do this successfully so it will work. Quote
mnain Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 I recently signed up and am looking to run GIT, When I try to compile, it errors complaining about gcc - permission denied. Can you please help or point me to the correct path for gcc. Thanks. Madan Quote
Brian Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 Please submit a ticket at https://support.hawkhost.com or email support [at] hawkhost.com, and in the ticket include your domain or username, along with detailing the problem. We'll fix the permission issue for you from there Quote
