  1. The most likely culprit is some myBB portion is triggering a mod_security rule. You can disable it just follow the guide at: https://support.hawkhost.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=96
  2. The backup battery has been replaced and the server is back online. The server was down for about 11 minutes.
  3. The server was just turned off to replace the back battery unit. It should be back online in about 30 minutes.
  4. We have been notified by the raid card on the Voodoo server that the raid cards backup battery has failed. As a result we will be replacing it Tuesday August 9th between 1am and 3am EDT. This will require us to take the machine off line to perform this window as a result there will be about 30 minutes of down time. This is a necessary maintenance as right now the server has disabled write caching which significantly reduces performance. The battery also protects the system from data loss in case of power failure. Date: 08/09/2011 Start time (EDT): 1:00am End time (EDT): 3:00am Estimated Down Time: 30 minutes
  5. The servers actually have 8 CPU cores and with hyper threading it shows up as 16 to the operating system.
  6. At this time cPanel does not support MySQL 5.5 so we're stuck with 5.1 for the time being. It's planned for 11.32 which if I was going to guess will arrive late this year.
  7. It's a bug with cPanel it's been like that since 11.28.
  8. The raid card has been replaced and virtual machines are now starting back up.
  9. The server is now offline it should be back up in about 30 minutes.
  10. The server is now back online and services starting back up.
  11. The machine has just gone offline to replace the power supply. It should be back up in about 30 minutes.
  12. The Falcon server just lost power again due to this we will be performing emergency maintenance. We have strong reason to believe this is due to the power supply and once datacenter technicians confirm that there were no other issues that may have caused the machine to lose power. We will be performing the replacement as soon as possible and there will be about 30 minutes of down time to replace the power supply. When the server is being taken offline we will update this post.
  13. The machine is back online at this point in time. We're still investigating why the machine lost power.
  14. The server is now booting back up it should be back online in 10 minutes unless there are any further issues.
  15. The Falcon server lost power at around 6:35pm EDT upon booting back up is is failing to mount partitions. At this time we're running a fsck on the partitions that will not mount while we investigate what caused the server to lose power.
  16. All our servers run MySQL 5.0 or 5.1 latest builds from them. If you're referring to MySQL 5.5 well cPanel does not support it right now. As far as phpmyadmin that is controlled by cPanel so when they release an update for it we update to it.
  17. The backup battery on the Marlin server has failed again which means most likely the Raid card is the culprit. As a result we will be replacing the raid card Monday August 8th between 12am and 2am CDT. This will require us to take the machine off line to perform this window as a result there will be about 30 minutes of down time. This is a necessary maintenance as right now the server has disabled write caching which significantly reduces performance. The raid card itself could also be causing other problems that we're not aware of so it's best to replace it. Date: 08/08/2011 Start time (CDT): 12:00am End time (CDT): 2:00am Estimated Down Time: 30 minutes
  18. All virtual machines are online at this point in time.

  20. The machine was just taken off line it should be back online in about 30 minutes.

    IPB 3.2

If it's actually hosted by them then it's allowed. Those systems are not allowed when we're the ones hosting them.

It would technically be against our terms of service. We don't actively go searching for them. Most of them though don't run well in a shared environment even if they're allowed. All the constant refreshing you end up hitting limits and slowing down your actual site. PHP + mySQL is not an ideal system to be running chat systems off of.

    Site Issues

IPB upgrade script sucks it seems topics fixed. As far as the text box no idea why it's even showing up we don't have it enabled. I guess need to contact IPB about that one.

I'm not sure on the default way images are stored I'm sure there is a setting about it though. Our PHP memory limit is 128mb. Our system automatically limits CPU and can be viewed in your control panel. If there is abuse we're not limiting we try to inform you ahead of time but that cannot always be the case. If you're crashing a server we'd obviously disable you and email you rather than waiting around and having you effect an entire server. As far as payment method if it works like a regular Visa card then it should be fine. I'm not familiar with their debit variation to know if it acts online like a normal credit card.
