  1. Hey guys, i like your prices, im looking at geting Standard package for 1 year.

    $4.96/mo. is great IMO.

How much would it be to buy a .net Domain from you guys?

Would it be cheaper to get it with NameCheap then Transfer it to you guys?

Also i will be able to use WordPress with you guys right?

(Sorry im a newb to sites, so take er easy on me)

Cuz i was told WordPress is the best simplest way to build a site.

Your nearest Server is in Washington DC, Cuz im in Canada Ontario, in Niagara.

(I dont think Server speed and billing will be a problem right?)

Also will i be able to use this Coupon for 50% off when i buy?:

Also are you guys Beginner friendly?

As in, are there Tips and Simple Explanations on the Cpanel,

    and maby Tutorial videos ect..?

    Thanks!

I'll take alook around the site and forums while i wait for answer.

    Peace~

EDIT: just saw the sever status page and i see all these servers like: Mars, Skyline, Yoda ect..

Do i get to pick witch one i get or how does it work? and what about the Locations of the server and ect..

Dont know how it works if someone can explaine that would be awsome!

    - Also with the 30 day money back guarantee, if i pay with a master card, i wonlt be charged after 30 days and i can back out at anytime?

or it will charge right away and if within 30 days i dont like what i have, the money will go back?

Sorry for all the questions, its my first site and i just wana be sure =P

    1. Domain registration is $9.95/yr through us and includes privacy protection. ou can order on the order form or through https://my.hawkhost.com/domainchecker.php -- also you don't need to register the domain and transfer it to us, you can just update the nameservers to ours and you could still use our hosting.

    2. Wordpress is fully supported and can be installed in a few clicks through Softaculous (a program installer in your control panel)

    3. Washington DC would indeed be closest for someone in Ontario

    4. We have a full knowledgebase for questions, our support team is here 24/7, and there are also video tutorials in cPanel

    5. You do not get to pick the server, but you get to pick the location.

    6. You will be charged right away (we cannot setup the account until we have payment) and anytime within the first 30 days if you're unhappy with something you can request cancellation + get the refund.

Let us know if there's anything else :)

  2. You can use the password protect option in cPanel to restrict access by a user/password (which obviously you only given to people who you want to view the site).

Now as for the issue with Front Page extensions restricting the password protect option, all you need to do is disable those. Follow these steps:

    1) Login to cPanel (http://yourdomain.com/cpanel)

    2) Type 'Frontpage' in the top left finder in cPanel. This will take you to the Frontpage Extensions area. In here you'll see all of your domain, your addon domains, and your subdomains

    3) Click 'uninstall' for the domain(s) you wish to remove the extensions for

If that doesn't work out for you either update this thread or contact our support department :)

  3. Right now this is not something we've really looked into and I can't be sure we will offer it at any time soon. One of the major features of these types of databases is scalability and performance at high work loads with lots of data across many servers, which someone in a shared environment wouldn't need.

  4. Any billing related issues are best handled via ticket, since we'll likely need to discuss account sensitive info which you wouldn't want in a public forum.

We can apply affiliate money towards an invoice / upgrade.

  5. Assuming all the files are showing up correctly, and your nameservers are set as ns1.hawkhost.com / ns2.hawkhost.com, you're probably all set. It's strange when things actually work for a change isn't it?

If you'd like us to doublecheck for sure you can either provide us your domain name here (we won't reveal any account info here, you shouldn't either) or if you don't want that posted, go ahead and submit a ticket and we'll take it up there

    Thanks for choosing us :)
