Hosting Anime Videos?

Hello i was wondering if hosting anime videos is allowed?

I would like to host some anime videos in AVI format and streaming them with divx embed.

Also if this is allowed could i use some sort of hotlink protection so that they wont play on any site but mine?

On a VPS plan you're allowed to those types of videos, so long as the content is legal within the United States and is owned by yourself. You're also free to use hotlink protection as well.

Hee, I dont want to repeat exactly what the admin said, so I'll expand on it a bit

Depending on the country of your VPS is located in, you can host whatever you want as long as it abides by the laws of that country. I think if you stream the amine free to watch as a nonprofit site you will have no problem. If you charge a user to watch the anime then you might bump into copyright issues
