Light Speed & Memory Used 49.5 %

Well i already ordered my service from hawkhost with lightspeed and its great. But can someone tell me what exactly lightspeed does?

I basically ordered lightspeed for an extra 10$ because a friend of mine said my site would be 50% faster.

Also in my cpanel before i started to move my site/files memory used said 49.5% and it still says that. What is using up so much memory?

Thank you Idk if its the lightspeed or not but FTP seems 100% faster xD
