MySQL Not Cooperating

Hello,

I run Apache HTTP Server with PHP 5.2.13 or something like that on my home computer for performing HTML and script tests and whatever other experiments I can think of.

I tried to install and configure MySQL following these instructions, but MySQL still won't work with my web server.

Any advice?

Hard to say without any errors since it could be any number of things but have you considered a package like WAMP? It'll install and interface everything you need in a nice easy to use fashion: http://www.wampserver.com/en/
