greensleves
I just found out about this new forum software, http://discourse.org, and I was wondering whether it would work on shared accounts: The minimum version requirements are: Postgres 9.1 Redis 2.6 Ruby 1.9.3 We also recommend a minimum 1 Gb RAM to host Discourse, though it may work with slightly less. I don't intend to use it on a live environtment. I only wanted to play with it, but if it's not possible, oh well. yfewtjdfopaw and PirlWerbtit

Brian
Redis is not available on shared hosting plans so this would be a show-stopper for this software. And as mentioned, 1GB of memory is quite a bit for a shared environment.

Run anything you want (within some limits) if you can set it up!
