ARH
I have an account on my reseller hosting that is reaching it's maximum bandwidth. It's my own site, but it's just a wordpress blog and has no content yet, it's not taking up much disk space. I don't know why I'm using up so much bandwidth. I checked who is visiting a blank site and I've copied below what I get. Can anyone tell me how to stop this please? I'd prefer not to use up all my bandwidth on this stuff, they're not actual visitors.... Thanks :-) Audrey Latest Visitors to mywebsite.com Host: 184.73.110.198 /nyasia7781356/ Http Code: 200 Date: Aug 21 21:01:45 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 56792 Referer: - Agent: Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.1 /denise706567/ Http Code: 200 Date: Aug 21 21:01:46 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 49495 Referer: - Agent: Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.1 /leon3042823/ Http Code: 200 Date: Aug 21 21:02:11 Http Version: HTTP/1.1 Size in Bytes: 49706 Referer: - Agent: Jakarta Commons-HttpClient/3.
Raymond
Did you start adding mods and or add-ons? If so one of the add-ons could be doing it.

ARH
Thanks for your advice. Raymond, the site just has wordpress, no content yet and hasn't had any add-ons or even plugins added. I have blocked the ip address and so far so good! I'll know what to do next time this happens.
speedturtle
the site just has wordpress, no content yet and hasn't had any add-ons or even plugins added. That's an interesting phenomenon. The only possible reason I can think of is that your domain was previously registered under a different owner and that owner had been promoting his site. As speedturtle pointed out the IP is hosted at amazon (most likely their cloud services) so it's likely just a bot scanning for vulnerabilities / outdated WordPress installations. Simply blocking it per speedturtle's suggestion would be the best idea
