bzgzd Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Hi. I would like to use google checkout on my page. They require SSL url for automatic payout confirmation. Here i read that you don't offer SSL http://forums.hawkhost.com/showthread.php?t=527 is it changed now? Because in this list http://www.hawkhost.com/Shared/compare i can see "private ssl" also for basic shared hosting. So is it possible with shared hosting here? Do i need to purchase private IP for that? Do i need to purchase something else from someone else? On some other webhosts i saw "Shared SSL" is it also here possible? Thx. Quote
bzgzd Posted January 22, 2010 Author Report Posted January 22, 2010 Ok, i think i found out all answers after i clicked on that "Private SSL" link. (didn't saw that before) So i would need dedicated IP and also to buy 3rd party certificate... Quote
Tony Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 You are correct you need the dedicated IP and if you don't want a self signed certificate you need to purchase one from a third party. I'm not sure if google checkout cares if it's self signed they may not. Typically it matters for users as they get nasty error messages but for something like google checkout it may not matter depending on how their system works. Quote
