Domain Transfer Help

I just joined Hawk Host a few days ago and so far everything has been great, the only problem I am having is that I am trying to transfer a few of my domains from my old 1and1 hosting account to here and I cannot figure out how to do it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The easiest way is to login to 1and1 and and find the option to change name servers. From there simply put in:

ns1.hawkhost.com

ns2.hawkhost.com

If you're looking to transfer the domain registration to us then you'd need an authorization code if it's a .com or .net and you should be asked for that at the order form.

I also need to enter a name server. I am not sure what name server I need to enter

Tony - I just signed for your service this morning and am transferring a domain from Network Solutions. I was not asked - as far as I know - for an authorization code.

Our system currently does not ask for the code upon sign up so you'll need to email us the code.

Does it matter which namesserver is listed as primary?

As normal, hawkhost gave me 2 nameservers. I assumed nameserver ns1 should be primary.

In my registrar's system, I plugged in ns1. as primary and saved but for whatever reason, their system keeps recording ns2. as primary, ns1. as secondary.

Will this cause a problem?

It does not matter what the order for the name servers are.
