dougp Posted August 2, 2013 Report Share Posted August 2, 2013 I purchased a vps and created my cPanel account in whm, and have logged into it to upload a index.html file. However, my site is not showing up, so i pulled up a terminal and pinged my site and i get this message: "Ping request could not find host". Any help, suggestions, tips? When i checked the whois info for my domain name its showing my nameservers so im kind of confused on why my site is not showing up in my browser. Thanks. Tony Posted August 2, 2013 Report Share Posted August 2, 2013 It sounds like there is an issue with your dns. You can use a site like http://intodns.com/ which will query your DNS servers each lookup so propagation is not an issue.
