new Wordpress install not showing up?

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here :) Hopefully someone can tell me where.

I've had my infinitives.ca domain, as well as several other domains, hosted with Hawk Host for some time now. I just today decided to add a Wordpress blog as a subdomain to infinitives.ca. First, I went to cPanel and created a new subdomain inside infinitives.ca called "awordplease", because I want the blog to be at http://awordplease.infinitives.ca.

Then, in Softaculous, I installed the Wordpress blog to "awordplease.infinitives.ca", and the installation was successful.

The way I have my /public_html set up, by the way, is a little different than most. It looks like this:

/public_html

-----> myotherdomain1.ca

-----> myotherdomain2.ca

-----> infinitives.ca

------------> awordplease

-----------------------> all the Wordpress files for the "awordplease" subdomain

------------> all my other files and folders that exist under infinitives.ca and make up that website

Now, if I go to "http://awordplease.infinitives.ca/wp-admin", I can access the Wordpress administrator control panel just fine. But if I try to view my blog at "http://awordplease.infinitives.ca", the URL changes to "http://awordplease.infinitives.ca/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi", and I get a generic "Default Website page" that is some sort of cPanel placeholder page, something that basically says you might've reached this page in error, etc.

What do I need to do to make my Wordpress blog accessible at that address?
