KouseiKibou
I was just curious about OpenSim from a host's point of view. Quite a few tutorials out there say that a simple VPS is able to handle OpenSim, but I know a lot of VPS hosts that disallow game servers. OpenSim is an open-source implemention of Second Life's service. It is completely legal, and runs on Mono and MySQL. However, since people refer to Second Life as a virtual world, I have no idea whether or not this would count as a game server. In either case, would OpenSim be allowed on a VPS account here? Just curious.
Tony
You could run it, but I doubt it would run very well as the VPS. We can limit CPU usage and with ram as soon as you hit the limit the OS starts throwing a slew of errors.
