Tony Posted August 9, 2011 Report Share Posted August 9, 2011 We have been notified by the raid card on the Voodoo server that the raid cards backup battery has failed. As a result we will be replacing it Tuesday August 9th between 1am and 3am EDT. This will require us to take the machine off line to perform this window as a result there will be about 30 minutes of down time. This is a necessary maintenance as right now the server has disabled write caching which significantly reduces performance. The battery also protects the system from data loss in case of power failure.
