DNS change or only one record

Hi,

I have been searching for a good shared hosting provider company for last two days (or more?) and my search ended up with hawkhost. All the services look pretty good, and also not too many reviews are available, but the availables are all the way positive. So, i hope a good time here.

Well, I already own a domain name with dns management(editing of dns zone files - records) features available. If I use it as my primary domain here, will i necessarily have to use hawkhost's nameservers or i can simply point it here using the 'a' record of my domain name?

will all the dns management features be available here, if i use hawkhost's nameservers?

Will i be able to change my primary domain name for the shared hosting account in future?

You do not have to use our name servers but if you're going this route you will need to contact support for the IP you should be pointing to.

If you choose to use our name servers you cannot modify your own DNS zones, but we'll gladly do it for you. With this method when adding subdomains and things of that nature you will not need to do any work while if you're managing your own DNS you would have to.

As for changing your domain later on we can change your domain. Keep in mind this would be to a domain not currently being used by your account. We cannot change your primary domain to an add-on domain and move all the contents of that add-on into your main folder.

Would adding subdomains work if I am not using your nameserver? My experience with cpanel 10 is it would complain that the nameserver for the domain I'm adding a subdomain for does not point to the nameserver of the hosting provider. Has this changed in new cpanels? Thanks.
