I came from a managed VPS on a very reputable network and hated to give up the VPS but my two low traffic sites just didn't justify the cost of the VPS. I was apprehensive since the reason I went to a VPS was my one week using HostGator shared servers. It was horrible. Working in the admin area of Joomla and WordPress was painfully slow, and page load time with caching was not up to par for me. But I took the chance on HawkHost after reading reviews and I have to say I am pretty happy with the choice. I haven't experienced those problems on the two shared servers my accounts were placed on. I don't know if it's the hardware, network, Litespeed, or non-oversold nodes but the hosting quality on these shared servers is pretty decent. Hopefully it will continue this way until my sites get enough traffic to warrant a the cost of a VPS. Cheers!
