  1. Just a simple VPS sales question here. If I order the "Basic" VPS account, how difficult is it afterward to upgrade that to the "Advanced" or "Super" plans? Is it a simple change on the account or would that be a more complex server move or something? Just a side note, have been a customer on your shared hosting for nearly a year and couldn't be happier, your services are top notch and I recommend them to everyone I know. Thanks!
  2. Wow, you guys do a tremendous job! Thanks for all the updates and keeping us informed, you rarely get such clarity from a host, it is truly appreciated. I took a chance on signing up but I am so glad I did. Downtimes at my old host meant hours of outage and very little, if any, explanation of what was going on. Thanks for keeping us in the loop and being so dedicated to your uptime guarantee, what a spectacular company.
  3. I currently operate a WordPress-based blog that averages anywhere from 1,500 to sometimes 10,000 visits per day. Would your shared hosting handle this type of site requiring this much server resources? Such as, is there a limit of apache requests or a limit to CPU usage? At what point does a site get cut off and what is the cap for your shared hosting? Is there a daily visit limit that you would recommend not going over on the shared hosting? I'm currently hosted elsewhere with the blog site but I've been so pleased with your service for my others sites that I'm compelled to inquire about transferring more over. Thank you
  4. I didn't even notice a problem. However, I do appreciate these thorough explanations, most hosts will not explain the problems like this other than "technical difficulties". Thanks for the hard work you put into uptime and keeping customers informed.
  5. But Tony, the service is so good I don't want to share it I fully intend on reviewing Hawk elsewhere on the major web hosting forums. That's actually how I stumbled upon you. Firsthand reviews go a long way in persuading new customers, that's for certain.
  6. I thought I knew what fast was but apparantly I didn't. I've only been using my new Hawk account for a few hours but I am blown away by the speed. It's astonishingly fast, especially compared to my old host which now looks slow in comparison. Must be a testament to the servers and the data center. I'm impressed already as a new customer. Just wanted to post some praises.
  7. Cody, Thanks for answering my questions, I appreciate that. Aside from any issue, I'm mainly just interested in reliability. In fact, my ideal web host is one which I do not know the support personnel on a first name basis because I rarely have to put in a ticket. I do like your SLA though. It at least says that you're willing to back up the reliability claims financially so if I lose money from downtime, you'll be more sympathetic to it. I've read good things about Softlayer as a company as well, so that's also reassuring. I think I'll take advantage of your March Madness special and give you a try.
  8. Been reading reviews and browsing these forums. Thinking of signing up and just wanted to ask a little more about Hawk before I take the plunge. My first dilemma is that I have an existing site based on cpanel that I need to transfer over, do you offer assistance in this area? Transferring many sites including add-on domains and databases is a pain. Second, I have seen nothing but good reviews, just not a huge amount of them so it appears the service and support is reliable. I wondered what your support team consists of? I've seen Tony making a lot of responses, do you handle everything or is there true 24/7 support? Finally, what data center company do you operate out of, if you don't mind disclosing? I understand if you don't so maybe that's a little forward. Thanks for your time and responses. Just looking for somewhere reliable. The current host I'm with, where I won't name names, *cough*Cirtex Hosting*cough*, just went through 40+ hours of downtime on the server I was on and gave me a $5 credit. I was livid and am not dealing with them anymore.
