  1. Then perhaps you should update your product addons area Because if I go to client area and view addons, I can order dedis for $189/month upto $429/month.
  2. Average download times were: Dallas TX (where my VPS is): 350 KB/sec Washington DC: 450 KB/sec Seattle WA: 200 KB/sec My max speed is 2 MB/sec (17.5 mbit/sec). Nothing else was using my network connection. The SSH/SVN are not painfully slow though, so if nothing can be done then it's not a big deal So are you able to transfer the OS image of a VPS onto a Dedicated server, or would I need to re-configure my account for when the time comes to upgrade? It'll happen eventually, even if it won't speed up these things
  3. (Unsure of where to put this, but since I'm currently on a VPS I'm guessing this is the most appropriate location) Is it painless to upgrade from a VPS to a Dedicated server? I've been setting up an SVN server that'll be used in a business venture I'll start soon, and I've noticed that committing to the repos + SFTP is a touch slow. I'm not sure what the "normal" speed is, I just know that the "web hotel" my workplace uses for their websites (not located on the same network, that much I know) is a hell of a lot quicker. So when the business really kicks off, so will the resource requirements, and thus a Dedicated will be the way to go, which may even take care of this speed "problem". Hopefully I won't need to re-do all of this setup and re-import the repositories Thanks in advance, and keep up the good work
  4. I've been a customer for 3 months now, and I'm quite pleased For my needs, nothing much has required support tickets, but the tickets I did submit were answered quickly and without the "I'm talking to a wall" impression you get from some support channels. I'm also liking this "semi-managed" (I believe Tony's words were on WebHostingTalk) service - not paying extra to have someone stare at my account all the time but at the same time get help and/or pointers to how to fix it myself (because learning is fun ) is exactly what I need. Really, the only improvement I could see possible (beyond your in-development Control Panel that hopefully will have a less confusing UI and less "Engrish" spelling than LxAdmin, while still keep memory usage in mind) would be to offer more customisation when it comes to plans. For instance, if I need more of one thing (be it RAM, space or bandwidth) my only choice is the next plan. It would be nice to be able to have customisable plans, so that customers could tailor their account to their requirements. I understand this can be quite difficult (having to value the different things, for one), though... All in all though, keep up the good work =D
  5. That's excellent news, on both counts. Thank you very much
  6. Hello, I'm the co-owner of a small but growing forum that is finding itself rapidly outgrowing the capacity a normal Shared host can provide, so we're investigating getting a VPS to be somewhat future-proof for the time being. Having read around this forum, I have a few questions: 1) Is there a limit on concurrent MySQL connections even on a VPS server? 2) Will a shoutbox be a problem even on a VPS? It is a very attractive feature for members (it isn't displayed to guests), and we'd rather not have to disable it. It's also only displayed on the main forum page. The VPS plan we're thinking of is the Standard plan, for now, if that's of any importance to any of these questions. Thank you in advance
