  1. @Limey as long as it doesn't take too much resources like user wise, you should be golden :). You could probably max out a total of 200-300 people maybe even more on a VPS.

Cool, thanks for the advice. :)

If I did decide to do that, it would probably build up slowly over time. Once I started to get up to 200 or so connections at any given time I would either get another VPS as a second game world or move on to a dedicated server.

  2. If your referring to an Runescape Private server than probably not. As this is 100% illegal :)

Indeed. The use of emulation servers depends fully on the legality.

I was really planning to write an original MMO in the future and possibly host it here.

  3. Ok, so, just in a little more detail, what isn't allowed? I know nothing that would annoy people, break laws, or in any way be considered "mean" or "annoying", but is there anythig besides that that would restrict one's use of a VPS?

  4. If you would like a more accurate ping without triggering firewall action, you can ping from your computer. If you run Windows go into run, then type in cmd, then on the command line enter "ping hawkhost.com" (without quotation marks). On Mac, go into console (should be in the Utilities folder, which is inside the applications folder) and enter "ping hawkhost.com" (again, without quotation marks). I am unsure what to do if you run Linux, but it would probably be the same or a similar process on the appropriate command line.

  5. On my PC I play Age of Empires 2: Gold and 3: The Complete Collection. I also play a few online games (such as RuneScape) on my PC. On my Nintendo DSi I play Super Mario Bros. and Age of Empires: Age of Kings. And on my very, very, very, very, very old and outdated PlayStation 1 (I know, lame) I play Nascar 2001 and NHL 2001.

  6. This will be changing but the current logo on our website:

Nice. You should replace the current vBulletin forum header in the upper left corner with this. It fits into the forum's theme quite nicely.
