I am currently in search of a new web hosting provider. I am having problems with missing emails (mainly from Yahoo and Facebook, but seemingly from others as well) and my current host refuses to take any basic steps to try to fix the problem...they just demand log files that I have no access to. I believe the problem is because they are using Spamcop for RBL filtering...but that's another long story. I mainly want to make sure I can make a smooth migration to your hosting service. I have been browsing your forum and web site, and my first impressions are very good. My main questions are as follows:
#1 - My current host is using Cpanel. If I create a full site backup and upload it to you, can it be restored in place with all email addresses, settings, databases, domains, etc. as they currently are configured? My main concern is the "Gallery" photo gallery that I have set up and running with my current host.
#2 - I am using the cgiemail program (or form/script?) to generate emails from web forms that visitors can fill out. Is this set up already with your service, or could it be used? I just don't want to have to re-do the forms I have already created...
#3 - In reference to my email woes as noted above, and due to issues with another prior hosting company...can you tell me if you are using Spamcop for RBL filtering? If yes, are you willing to whitelist servers as requested, especially from companies such as Yahoo and Facebook?
#4 - I have a number of small videos (mainly .wmv files) posted on my web site that receive limited viewing. Is this acceptable? I know some web hosts seem to indicate that customers are not allowed to post video files at all.
Thanks,
Wesley
