I installed wordpress mu on a sub domain and am running into some problems. from the readme file:http://trac.mu.wordpress.org/browser/trunk/README.txt DNS 59 === 60 If you want to host blogs of the form http://blog.domain.tld/ where 61 domain.tld is the domain name of your machine then you must add a 62 wildcard record to your DNS records. 63 This usually means adding a "*" hostname record pointing at your 64 webserver in your DNS configuration tool. 65 Matt has a more detailed explanation: 66 http://ma.tt/2003/10/10/wildcard-dns-and-sub-domains/ I looked around cpanel at the redirects and such but can't figure our where I am suppose to put the "*" hostname record? I cannot add a users blog. When I test set up a sign in the activate email went to "page not found" wordpress was suppose to create test.mydomain.com Any suggestions? Thank you, Jeff

getting close mail.subdomain-name.com in both imap and smtp leave he port # (143 and 25) and use the whole user name to log in (user+subdomain-name.com) When I sent a test message I received this error Message not sent. Server replied: Connection timed out 110 Can't open SMTP stream.

Let me explain what I did: I made a web mail account for a sub domain. and then just followed the installer (choose domain, create directory, name, and left the imap and smtp as defaulted) I could not connect to the server... uninstalled, and tried it again with mail.subdomain-name.com in both imap and stmp. This seemed better but, still did not work. What port #s and imap / smtp settings should I be using? Jeff

Has anyone had any luck installing squirrelmail using Softaculous? This would allow you to have web-mail login per domain. I tried it but am having some difficulty directing the mail to hook up to the server. Anyone else? Jeff

Hi folks Jeff Ring here... My domain is whateverdomain.com but, my site is at whateverdomain.com/whateverfolder. How do I set things so the address bar shows www.whateverdomain.com and not www.whateverdomain.com/whateverfolder . I have my domain pointing at a folder withing my root publichtml folder. (I did this so I can manage a couple domains and keep them separate from my main hosting domain) Thanks ps. So far the best of the 4 hosts I have had!
