Brian, are the VPS servers optimized out of the box or I have to do the optimization's? I want to make sure I get max performance. Also, you guys monitor the nodes to make sure no one is abusing the machines?

Well since Internet Brands acquired Jelsoft, things have been going down hill. Broken promises for 2.5 years now since the release of vB4. Everything has been fail. One of their original devs left them and created a superior forum product aka XenForo. XenForo is new and it looks nice and flashy, but I think from editor point of view and familiarity IPB might bet he clear winner in this. I run a heavy customized forum, and I think IPB might be a better option overall. I really love how IPB runs so smooth on your forums

Some of those machine specs are impressive. No location available in the west coast for VPS? Also if I request a VPS server, is server migration and initial setup done by you guys?

Hey HawkHost, what are your VPS server specs? CPU type mainly. Also CPU speed specs too. last question, what type of virtualization software do you guys use? Xen,OpenVZ,Virtuzzo?

Hey HawkHost, how do you guys like Invision Power Board? I was thinking about moving off vBulletin and check out Invision power Board, the product seems a lot more compelling than XenForo.

Yep, I am not tech savvy unfortunately. I know enough to get in deep trouble. Semi managed will get me up and running, but unfortunately I need someone to help me keep my server software up to date such as mysql/cpanel/whm and all the goodies the server comes with.

I had to move to a different web host provider since Hawk Host since I outgrew my shared web hosting and constantly hitting 100% of allotted cpu usage because of vBSEO. So I had to move away to a different company because they offered a managed vps option. I wish in the near future it's something you guys would add. I absolutely love the level of service you guys provide. Your servers are very well configured and the support is amazing. The difference is day and night honestly. Unfortunately the only thing I know about web hosting is how to run a vBulletin forums and certain plugins, that's it. I am not an except when it comes down to cPanel/WHM or other softwares to keep them up to date, because I know if I mess with those tools there I will 100% mess up. Just my 2 cents. If You guys ever did offer some type of managed option I would switch back in a heart beat.

Oh my god! That's all I have to say. You guys are amazing. I went through 4 web hosting companies, they kept blaming my website and that it wasn't optimized and thats why my forums took 5-10 seconds to load. They told me its normal for a website to load in 10 seconds!!!!! Anyways, all my users love your servers and I will send more people over to your direction! I moved the same exact website, same files, exact same configurations! Get this, LP had their website in Irvine,CA, which is close to me, and this new host is located in Dallas! The different is 5 seconds quicker? I run a competitive gaming community and I need to have a competitive website that loads fast in order for my community to stay respectable. I like your idea that you guys limit bandwidth cap and storage space, less opportunity for someone to abuse the system. You guys are just freaking awesome! Owner of www.47r-squad.com -IcEWoLF

Weird, when I dns look up my domain it shows it has propagated. http://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/47r-squad.com When I tracert from my end it shows it hasn't yet. www.47r-squad.com
