    Hi Mr Brian, Thank you for your reply

     

    Right now my site is doing well again.

     

    I already remove some of mysql, mainly mysql_num_rows, i dont know if this help but my site is already fast again now.

     

    Its good to know that shared and SD have the same limit, thats mean shared is as good as SD.

    Thank you for all your reply tekiegreg

     

    I will try to fix my bad coding. Right now, im still disabling lots of feature by removing mysql_num_rows, affected_rows, reduce report, remove checking for new messages and others...

     

    My site will have less feature but hopefully at least my user will not waiting 20 sec just to open a page.

    Hi Hawkhost Team

     

    Sorry for my english

     

    I'm planning to upgrade to semi dedicated in maybe 2-3 month because my site getting slower, i believe maybe because of my bad coding.

     

    I know little of server, so maybe VPS its not for me because maybe i cannot operate it well and i like to use cpanel because its simple.

     

    Right now, my site sometime take 20 sec to load, Cpanel resource usage show no issue, CPU load always at 0-25% when i check.

    I think maybe because i use mysql query too much and right now im still disabling a lot of feature to make it faster.

     

    I have a question how much power difference between shared hosting vs semi dedicated ? (3, 4 or 5 more powerful than shared hosting?)

     

    Can i just use it like in shared hosting (cpanel) ?

     

    Is it easy to upgrade / migrate ? Just wait and i maybe just make a few modification until my site moved?

     

    Can i downgrade it to my previous shared hosting? (i hope this will never happen)

    Server cougar received this status

     

    One of cougars shared IP addresses has been null routed due to a substantial distributed denial of service attack. We are currently shifting accounts on the affected IP to new IP addresses.

    I want to ask this using ticket but my question is too common to open new ticket

     

    1. I want to know if my site is the one who get attacked or the other site?

    My site is freesms4**.com (Hawkhost staff will know my site)

     

    2. What is the cause of this DOS? just short answer related to cougar server

    3. how to prevent it, if i can prevent it?
