  1. Its two different complete websites I need moved to different domains and hosts. I have three different domains set up on individual hosting accounts. I need stuff moved between them. One is a drupal site one a wordpress site. The drupal site needs to go from domain.org to a domain.com address/host. Once that's up and running. Then the wordpress site needs to be moved to the domain.org site and host.

    Clear as mud huh...lol

  2. I have three different accounts with three sites my customer wants to make some adjustments that are above my knowledge.

    What it is now

    Domain/host 1 = a simple redirect to domain/host 2

    Domain/host 2 = an outdated drupal site

    Domain/host 3 = and updated wordpress site

    What they want done.

Remove the redirect on domain/host 1 (Already done) and copy and install the outdated site from domain/host 2 onto domain/host 1

After that is up and running properly

Copy the updated site off of domain/host 3 and install onto domain/host 2

Domain/host 2 & 3 will both be up and running until my customer is satisfied with the results of the move.

The redirect is simple and already removed. I am lost after that. What is the best way of accomplishing this? My customer wants to see the moved sites up and running each time before taking down a live site proceeding onto the next move.

    Kind regards

    Dennis

  3. I like putting BBS' on my websites. However, I am getting inundated with bogus registrations from the eastern European nations. What the heck is going on? I have never had this problem before. Is there a simple way to deny all "RIPE" ip addresses? I have a fairly current list from here http://www.ipdeny.com/ipblocks/ However, it would take me forever to convert it to a useable form in htaccess. Deny from *.*.*.* the repeat the next block. I would go nuts. Is there an easier way to just eliminate countries from having access? Whats a novice such as myself to do?

  4. I was getting a weird email saying I was using too much disc space on an account of mine. When I would log into this account it would show way too much disc usage, but I could not find a file where it existed. It was just listed as other in one of the logs. Nothing really important was on this account, so I deleted the domain and account. Now I want to re-create the same account with the same domain again. I keep getting this error "Sorry, a DNS entry for thisdomain.com already exists, please delete it first (from all servers in the dns cluster".

What do I need to do to move forward?

  5. My initial 6 month trial of hawk host has been a very positive experience. It’s time to renew. Will I be sent a new invoice or should I just place a new order online? How come there is no two year option? Things are ok for me now and I would like to secure my space for longer term. Is this an option?

    Thanks for everything

  6. I log into my main cPanel account. There is a drop down window at the top that lists all of my client accounts. I can switch to some accounts and remain logged in to my main account still (*prefered*). I can return back to my main account just using the back button on my browser.

Yet other client accounts permanantly log me in and I cannot return to my main account without logging out of that account and then re-logging back into my main account.

What do I need to do to make all of my client accounts like the first senerio? Or better yet, is there a way to turn this feature on and off?

At this point, I own all of my clients, so it is convienient to be able to move between the cPanels. However, at some point in the very near future, I want to be able to have paid clients and I do not want such easy access (or none at all).

    How do I control this?

  7. I am planning on setting up a forum on one or more of my domains. Before I signed up, looking through the server threads, I saw that it listed them as being upgraded to the latest version. PHP's Siteshows the latest version as 5.3.3 The forum software I'll be using needs a minimum of PHP 5.2.4. The cPanel shows my server as having php 5.2.14

So my question is what version is it really running and will my new software work here?

    Thanks

    edit... I am on Mirage...

  8. Would I have to use an individual cPanel installation for each of my own domains? I have 10+ domains of my own. Would I be able to manage all of my own domains within my cPanel and just use my reseller cPanel installations for clients? Can I pick and choose who gets the cPanel installations and what I manage?

  9. It’s time for me to switch hosts. After doing much research, I am seriously considering Hawk Host. One of the things that I have identified as wanting is the ability to offer my wife her own cPanel to start a site. I want her to become familiar and comfortable with the inner workings of site management. So, this leads me into the Reseller realm. Well, after more reading I believe this would be a great option for me. I want to start promoting small site design to my local community. nothing big, just 5-10 page site using Dupral, Joomla, and Wordpress.

So, onto my question. Would my customers know I was using hawk host as a provider? Would hawk host support my customers with any issues that might come up? I guess what I am asking is, will get end user support as I get things going?

    Thanks
