strangeasangels
I just signed up for a year of shared hosting with HawkHost. I am transferring one domain over but I have a couple of domains I bought last year that I haven't used and I was wondering if I could also host them on this same plan? I get that I only have so much space but one of them is going to be a very simple and small site. Not sure if that's what the "Shared" means. Sorry if this is a daft question. Thanks. Brian
Welcome to the forums, and thanks for signing up with us! You can absolutely host multiple domains from a single shared hosting plan. You can add the domains through cPanel using the 'Addon Domains' interface. There is no limit to the number of domains you can add and each will be their own unique site/content. strangeasangels

tgonhawk1
"Shared" means that your sites are on a server along with those of other customers ... typically there are hundreds of domains sharing a server ... which usually works out ok, since most of them are, like yours, "very simple and small", and have few visitors. From time to time, a large busy site threatens to crowd the others out, and then it's the job of the host to prevent that. strangeasangels
Tony
From time to time, a large busy site threatens to crowd the others out,and then it's the job of the host to prevent that. CloudLinux does a great job at preventing most abuses by making it not possible to take over the entire server. Other types of abuses we have many monitoring systems in place and other preventive measures to hopefully not have one user cause problems for others.
