Amsterdam and Singapore

We've already got shared services up in both Singapore and Amsterdam, and have since shortly after Softlayer launched them: http://www.hawkhost.com/network

Unfortunately we can't provide VPS/reseller plans in those locations so it's limited to shared hosting only.

What is restricting you from offering this?

Available IP space is the primary reason, as APNIC is out of IPs and our provider (Softlayer) is making it more difficult (justifiably so) to obtain IPs in that region. As for Amsterdam it's simply a matter of demand, our VPS customer base is happy with the locations we offer and there isn't enough interest right now to bring AMS in to that arena.

That is disappointing you feel that way. :(

IP v6 should have many free IP though

IPv6 will indeed resolve this issue. The problem is adoption in the general market is slow moving (schools, governments, normal end-users). In the next few years we'll be seeing a shift form IPv4 to IPv6 as a standard however it's still a slow moving process. Until then we'll need to operate around the existing IPv4 environment which unfortunately is an abysmal mess.

I am launching my company in Amstardam. It's a web development company that will be inaugrated by two owners and another branch will be set up in Singapore. This is because of good communication and transport networks. The cost of setting up their will be in budget. What say guys! Is it right setting up company in these two places that are opposite in directions.

ye it will be beneficial for you to launch your companies in two different countries as singapore and amestrdam are both IT centerd countries where there is pretty much scope of succesfull web development business and it will also be cost effective than launching thie in european countries
