Saturn to Cobra migration

It's a good thing I'm subscribed to the Saturn server thread, otherwise I wouldn't know why my cPanel login isn't working.

So how are the other Saturn users being notified that they need to login to Cobra instead?

I wonder how many people connect via the server address vs. their main domain/cpanel?

Hey folks,

Subscribing to the forum is actually the best way to find out about maintenance notices for the server(s) you're on, and the location(s) you're in. We don't send mass emails out for things like this. We used to be we were flooded with complaint emails, people telling us they didn't care, etc. So we decided to use the forums and provide an opt-in system for all users. You were one of the many who took advantage of this, so it's good to see that.

We always suggest using your domain name to access cPanel, which is what's provided in your original new account information email. While the servers hostname isn't a problem, situations like this will create an issue if we do happen to do a migration. As you all have read I'm sure in our original notice, this was a seamless upgrade (no downtime or changes to users accounts), and you also now get access to shared only hosting features along with a hardware upgrade as well.

It's important that we're open and honest with our users. We never want you guys to feel out of the loop, and we do our best to post updates about everything we do on various channels (these forums, our blog, Facebook, Twitter). If you guys want anymore information about why we do things the way we do, feel free to post back or contact us via support ticket.
