techpro
I'm seeing, in the Backup control panel of my main account, and all the domains under it, "Backup not enabled." I have never seen this before, on this or other hosts. Does this mean I can not do cPanel backups any more?
Tony
We now use R1Soft which is a much more efficient way of backing up accounts and it allows us to keep 7+ days of backups. You'll notice within cPanel there is a link to R1Soft backup which allows you to login and use the interface to browse and restore files on your account. The backup not enabled option is simlpy if the host is making backups using cpanel automated systems. You can still generate your own backups using the "Download or Generate a Full Backup" option. techpro
Thanks. R1Soft backup looks very useful.
Tony
One thing I forgot to point out is MySQL backups are made. There just isn't an option for you to restore them, however we can restore databases or even just a table.
GuitarCrazyo
Or give your host the backup file have them place it in /home and restore from WHM, when you restore you can select what to restore such as mysql, home folder, email etc. However you should have no issues restore the entire thing providing there are no major mySQL version differences and the same mail format There are very few if any hosts using the old format now and I do believe it will convert it for you if so
