  1. hey it worked! I added SSL to a testing site and it's working great, tnx
  2. I'd like to use HTTPS in my Wordpress wp-admin. Since only I use it and it's my domain, I don't need certificate, I can add exception in the browser and use SSL without certificate. How can I setup it?
  3. Shared hostings have a hard time defining which PHP version to use. There are a lot of apps working on it, some running latest version that may even require PHP 5.3 and some that didn't update for long time and require older PHP. I've seen 3 or 4 users of my Wordpress plugins having trouble because they still used PHP4, ZOMG! But I didn't know subversions that were meant just to bugfix main versions also had problems... with bugs!
  4. They report have bug and security fixes, and are months old.
  5. I'd suggest you to move your accounts slowly. Move 3 and see how they behave for 1 week, then move 2 more and see how it goes. In a month you'll have them all moved, and if something goes wrong at least you'll know from a few of them instead of having to deal with all 10 at once. I see you are used to unlimited resources and are afraid of limits. But believe me, everything has a limit Your current host just take responsibility of them and make sure they'll all be above the sum of all usage,... or oversell and offer you what's available, since unlimit also means they are not promising anything. Since you know how much you are currently using, just get the plan that best fits you, and if it's not enough just get a bigger one.
  6. Could you provide a banner to use linking to affiliate link? I wanna use the link in my sites but I lack a visual banner,
  7. Nice! tnx for verifying possible bugs before upgrading to assure our softwares run smoothly
  8. I noted PHP on mars is still 5.2.11. Do you plan updating it to 5.2.13 in the near future? Why wasn't it updated yet?
  9. I don't know exactally what the host should do against a DOS. So to talk more generally, if somebody starts a DOS attack against a site, do you have any means of blocking it, or the only solution would be return a 503 response or something like that and wait the attack to fade?
  10. Hello http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2010/01/01/wordpress-search-based-dos-attack/ If any of our WP sites receive this attack, will it be safe inside HawkHost?
  11. Well things went fine, I was 1 of those thinking I was still running over Apache! I just took note of these changes because I was transfered from venus to mars and was using SSL for POP3 and SMTP, so after the transfer I kept accessing venus and stopped receiving mails. Other than that everything is working fine for me as I can tell. I have a question, I noticed LiteSpeed supports Servlet. I don't know how good it is compared to Tomcat. Do u plan on providing it in the future? I prefere to develop in Java and Postgres, and while I have no projects ATM, it is good to have Postgres available in case of needing it sometime, and it would also be great to have Servlet available.
  12. tnx Tony Indeed difference is too small, not really worthy doing the transfer.
  13. Very nice addiction!! Could you provide me ping and trace route from venus and neptune to 200.149.113.29? It's my ADSL backbone What is the procedure for transfering? Just request it on support and update DNS when u are done? Will our old server not be available to our domains as soon the transfer is done?
